Why are you uncomfortable answering my simple question?
How does 14 year old George Soros relate to this forums stated topic of American politics?
But the OP wants us to specifically focus on that part of his life.George Soros is no longer 14 years old and so your question is silly.
So how does 14 year old George Soros relate to American politics? What do you think of this 60 Minutes interview of George Soros by Steve Croft?
Full interview (the quoted part starts at 7:41. You can watch the whole 60 minutes clip if you want to see more context):
Kroft: You're a Hungarian Jew who escaped the Holocaust by posing as a Christian.
Soros: Right.
Kroft: And you watched lots of people get shipped off to the death camps.
Soros: Right. I was fourteen years old. And I would say that that's when my character was made.
Kroft: In what way?
Soros: That one should think ahead, one should understand and and anticipate events. And one is threatened, it was a tremendous threat of evil, I mean it was a very personal experience of evil.
Kroft: My understanding is that you went out with this protector of yours who swore that you were his adopted godson.
Soros: Yes, yes, yes.
Kroft: Went out, in fact, and helped in the confiscation of property from the Jews.
Soros: That's right. Yes.
Kroft: That sounds like an experience that would send lots of people to the psychiatric couch for many, many years. Was it difficult?
Soros: Not at all. Not at all. Maybe as a child, you don't, you don't see the connection. Uh, but it was, it created no problem at all.
Kroft: No feeling of guilt?
Soros: No.
Kroft: For example, "I'm Jewish, and here I am watching these people go. I could just as easily be there. I should be there." None of that?
Soros: Well, of course I could be on the other side, I could be the one from whom the thing is being taken away. Uh, but there was no sense that I shouldn't be there, because that was. Well actually, funny way, it's just like in markets, that if I weren't there, of course I wasn't doing it, but somebody else would be taking it away anyhow. And it was whether I was there or not, I was only a spectator, the property was being taken away. So I had no role in taking away that property. So I had no sense of guilt.
Sure... Just like Stormy Daniels' background and biography are relevant to American politics.George Soros is a major donor for the Democratic party and for many left-wing political activist groups. So his biography/background is relevant to American politics.
George Soros has been a major influence in American politics for decades.Sure... Just like Stormy Daniels' background and biography are relevant to American politics.
Even when he was 14?George Soros has been a major influence in American politics for decades.
George Soros has been a major influence in American politics for decades.
But the OP wants us to specifically focus on that part of his life.
Let me quote the OP to remind everyone:
So how does 14 year old George Soros relate to American politics?
And please don't dodge the question again.
So why are you refusing to engage with the proof I provided that your op was slanderous nonsense intended to smear a 14 year old Jewish child?
I wasn't talking about your context. I was talking about the context in which he said those words. No problem. i'll find it.
And by the way, the context of my post that you are quoting from is quite self-explanatory.
How does this relate to American politics?
George Soros is a major donor for the Democratic party and for many left-wing political activist groups. So his biography/background is relevant to American politics.
Yes ,Don't cast your pearls etc.My advice to anyone that feels uncomfortable discussing George Soros' history or his involvement in present day politics or finds it irrelevant to one's understanding of American politics would be to just ignore this thread altogether and let those of us interested in such things continue to discuss them. .
I wasn't talking about your context. I was talking about the context in which he said those words.
I get the feeling that some people aren't happy with my thread.
What exactly do you not like about the OP?I think most are accustomed to this sort of thread from you. I'm not bothered by it but it sure does seem counterproductive to your intent. Nobody around here does a better job making Democrats look more reasonable than you do.
