Please show me from scripture where it says that the man and woman is mankind and the ancestors to Adam and Eve.
"Mankind" and Adam is the same word in the Hebrew.

Also where it says that Adam and Eve were made on the eighth day.
God rested on the 7 day and then made Adam and Eve on the 8th day.

Not to sound disrespectful...but, so what?

God rested on the 7 day and then made Adam and Eve on the 8th day.

True God rested on the 7th day....but you seem to have a problem explaining Adam being made on the 8th day.

With all due respect joshua, the bible says day 6.
Day 6 for what? The Bible has a literal understanding for children who live by faith. Within a literal 24 hour day we find wisdom, knowledge and the mysteries of God. Let me give you an example. The Pharisees told Jesus: "Herod wants to kill You.” This was His reply: "Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected". If a day is 1,000 years then the first two days represent the Church Age, also known as the age of Grace or the time of the Gentiles. Then the third day is the 1,000 year reign of Christ known as the Kingdom age. This is when the church will be perfected. It is not their work because this is a time of sabbath when man will rest from his works. There are other scriptures that talk about this: "On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance". Even Abraham looked into the future and he saw the third day when we would all be perfected together. From a distance he saw this day and how the sacrifice of His son was a type of the sacrifice God made of His Son for our sake so we could be perfected. These are the mysteries of God that are hidden from those who perish but are revealed to those who are redeemed. We know that the third day and the seventh day are the same. We are very close to the end of the sixth day. WE are 6 days from Adam and Eve. That is why this age is coming to an end and the Kingdom age when the Sons of God will be Manifest is about to be revealed.

Now we are talking about the eighth day. This is when Adam and Eve appeared in the Garden of Eden. What some people call paradise. The eighth day for us comes after the 7th day, after the Kingdom age. This is when there will be a new heaven and a new earth. This is also when there will be a lake of fire and the enemies of God will be destroyed. Not because He did not love them. Because they did not return His love. They rejected Him as their God. They followed satan in his rebellion against God.

I take it he was not the bionic man , steve something-or-another ?
My son was just talking about this. He said in the next 10 years there are going to be a lot of advances in this. The bionic man is the robot they are using on the assembly line when they build their factory. He is a computer engineer so it is his job to do the programming as he builds the assembly lines. Although the last project he worked on was the cameras they use to keep an eye on everything to make sure there are not any problems anywhere. When we see photos of the robots in a modern factory it is those cameras they are using to get those pictures. He showed me a photo of a robot picking up boxes to load on a pallet. He said that they were working on the robot hand that could pick up the boxes.

Who was the "man" made on day 6? What became of that "man"?
Depends on your perspective. As a YEC each day is 1,000 years. The man at the time was a hunter gather. "Then the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being." (Genesis 2:7)

Science tells us a lot about how God created Adam and Eve. We start with the program Cosmos where Carl Sagon and Neil DeGrasse Tyson tells us that we are "star dust". This is where God created the elements (dust of the ground) that He used to make Adam and Eve. This is why I say it took God 12.990 Billion years to create Adam and Eve. Yet we find them FINISHED or perfected 5990 years ago in the garden of eden. On the eighth day Adam was perfected and on the 14th day mankind will be perfected.

If you look at OEC (old world creationism) The first human ancestors appeared between five million and seven million years ago. Each day in Genesis is half the length of the day before. Gerald Schroeder - Articles - Age of the Universe

OEC, YEC, Theistic Evolution are all looking at the same thing from a different perspective. Everything is relative depending on your perspective and your vantage point. The Hebrew letter for the eye is made with a Y. Because the two eyes join together for make ONE image. You can go to the beginning and look forward. You can go to the end and look back. You can go to a point a time and a place. Like when Jesus was born. OR when Adam and Eve were placed in the Garden. This is like a snapshot of time. Or we can go back to 12,990 years ago when our era or age began. I use the nano diamond comet as a marker for when the age we live in began. Six North American Sites Hold 12,900-year-old Nanodiamond-rich Soil

God is infinite and we could go on forever talking about all of this. In fact the very first letter in the Bible is infinite and we could spend the rest of our life just to do a study on that ONE letter. In this case it is a B and that represents a tent or tabernacle actually. This represents God's desire to dwell with and to become one with His Creation. So there is a LOT of story to tell just with that letter B. This also represents Ben or Jesus the Son of God. Who was a child of the father but He did not come to be served, He gave His life as a sacrifice and to serve others. All of this is in the first letter of the first word in our Bible. This sets the foundation for the rest of the Bible to explain.

"Mankind" and Adam is the same word in the Hebrew.

God rested on the 7 day and then made Adam and Eve on the 8th day.

Genesis 1
So God created mankind in his own image,
in the image of God he created them;
male and female he created them.
31 God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.

Find me a scripture that says the eighth-day.

"Mankind" and Adam is the same word in the Hebrew.
If the word is the same then there is as much chance that it means mankind in Genesis 1 as it means Adam. Give some supporting scriptures that would indicate that the word is anything other than Adam.

Why would that be a problem? The only problem is that God is infinite and there is a lot of information to work with. Each day in the Bible represents 1,000 years. I can give you an exact moment in time when this age began using the nano diamond comet. I can give you an exact moment in time with this age will come to an end using the Apophis astroid. We know that Jesus went to carvery at an exact moment in time. We know that the church age began 50 days later in the Upper Room on the day of Pentecost. We have very exact markers to go by. Just like the wise men were able to figure out the exact time and place when Jesus entered the world. They were there to greet Him with Gifts.

2,000 years from when Jesus died at Calvary the Apophis asteroid will be going over Jerusalem to mark that event and to give us the exact moment in time. As exact and as precise as time can be. Then that exact same asteroid will go over Jerusalem 7 years later. Only this will mark the day Jesus was raised up from the dead. That would be impossible for this to be a coincidence.

Here are all the scriptures that talks about the 8 th day: The Eighth Day

Find me a scripture that says the eighth-day.
The scripture we are talking about is all of Genesis chapter two but exp Genesis 2:7 "Then the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being". This was the moment in time when God took Adam and Eve and placed them in the Garden of Eden. For science they are food producers. In the Bible the key word here is the "breath" that God breathed into Adam. The man in Genesis chapter one had life but he did not have the Breath of Life the way Adam and Eve did. For science this was the beginning of civilization and all that goes along with that. Moses was actually the first civil engineer.

We read in Genesis 2:4 " there was no man to cultivate the ground". Then we read: "7Then the LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and the man became a living being". This took place 5,990 years ago when God breathed the breath of life into Adam and place Him in the Garden of Eden. Notice in Genesis 2:4 we read: "These are the generations of the heavens and the earth when they were created".

I am ONLY asking you to look at TWO words here in the Hebrew. That can not be so difficult to learn the meaning of TWO words. The breath of life that God breathed INTO Adam. And the GENERATIONS. Another word for Generations is Geneology. This involved the DNA so in the last 50 years we have learned a LOT about this word: "Generations". More exact the generation of the Adam and Eve that we find in the Garden of Eden. Note: this is theistic evolution because evolution talks about a common ancestor which is a VERY Bible concept that Adam and Eve were a matriarch and patriarch or what science would call a common ancestor.

neshamah: breath Strong's Hebrew: 5397. נְשָׁמָה (neshamah) -- breath
Original Word: נְשָׁמָה
Part of Speech: Noun Feminine
Transliteration: neshamah
Phonetic Spelling: (nesh-aw-maw')
Definition: breath

toledoth: generations Strong's Hebrew: 8435. תּוֹלְדוֹת (toledoth) -- generations
Original Word: תּוֹלְדָה
Part of Speech: Noun Feminine
Transliteration: toledoth
Phonetic Spelling: (to-led-aw')
Definition: generations

Is it so difficult to study TWO words to learn what they mean in the origional Hebrew language? I think the problem is you are getting the word: "nephesh" ( נֶפֶשׁ) for soul mixed up with the word: "neshamah" (נְשָׁמָה) Notice they both begin with the letter Vov (hook, nail, secure) Hebrew is backward from English. Also they both contain the letter Sheen which represents teeth- to devour or to consume. The soul has a mouth where the breath of life has "water" and "behold" M for water like the waves and G represents the mouth. It is the only letter within a letter. Behold is represented by the letter E. This is when you put your head and hands up and say HAY, here I am, I am over here, take notice of me. All of these Hebrew letter have a meaning that helps us to understand what the word means.

This is how God can tell the whole story of the whole world in 31 verses. Because the letters that make up the words are symbols that have meaning. We know that Jesus is the beginning and the end. The alpha and the Omega. The beginning and the end of the word of God and the Law of God. Just as God declares the end from the beginning. Even in Psalm 139:15,16 David tells us that God writes the book of our life at one conception. Every chapter and every verse.

nephesh: a soul, living being, life, self, person, desire, passion, appetite, emotion
Original Word: נֶפֶשׁ
Part of Speech: Noun Feminine
Transliteration: nephesh
Phonetic Spelling: (neh'-fesh)
Definition: a soul, living being, life, self, person, desire, passion, appetite, emotion

Adam in the Garden of Eden (Genesis chapter 2) descended from the Adam we read about in Genesis chapter one. This is why we need to study the meaning of the word "generations". In science they call this a common ancestor. The Adam in chapter one had a soul. The adam in chapter two had the breath of life. That is why we need to study and understand the meaning of these two Hebrew words: nephesh & neshamah.

The Bible says he was made out of the dust of the ground, God breathed into his nostrils so he became a living being, he wasn't a descendant of anybody.

And there is no scripture saying he was made on the eighth day.

The earth definitely exists before the first day occurs.

Genesis 1
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. 3 Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.

The earth was dark and void before God moved over the surface of the waters. Then God said let there be light and there was the first evening and morning. The text does not say that the entire creation occurred in six days.

"Mankind" and Adam is the same word in the Hebrew.

God rested on the 7 day and then made Adam and Eve on the 8th day.

It says He created them on the 6th day and rested the 7th---there is no 8th day mentioned.
Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Gen 1:28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Gen 1:29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
Gen 1:30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
Gen 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Gen 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
Gen 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
Gen 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Depends of what you think...? the word is not "dark", but "formless" and "void"...? and it depends on what you think those words are or mean...? can mean empty or non-existent, etc...? and "water" or "waters", it also depends on what you think that or those mean as well...? it can go as far as it meaning separating two or more "different environments" from one another maybe possibly, etc...

You have to take into account that the "vocabulary" God was using was to or towards a very primitive people, with very limited ideas and concepts of things also...

And you have to take these things into account in the entire creation account, etc...

Then there are the "Hebrew words and language", for that see here:

These are three posts of mine in another thread about that, right in a row, posts#69, 70, and 71...

I believe evolution is not random, or is just the result of creatures or species or life just simply "adapting", and/or combined with just the survival or the fittest, etc, but is by design and is a program written, directed/manipulated by, and created by God...

DNA seems to suggest that a bit...

An intelligent design, or an intelligent program, etc...

Anyway,

God Bless!

How like with a computer, we write "programs" on chips or now microscopic memory chips, etc, that are mechanical in nature, but what if we could write them on different material or things even smaller, like atoms or quantum particles, or with biology or biological material...?

What if God or the gods already did...?

God Bless!

The earth definitely exists before the first day occurs.

There is no proof of that so you can't state it as a fact, unless you have some other scripture to back it up? Possibilities aren't facts, they are only that, possibilities and speculation.
