the real reason the bible isn't perfect? The terrible fables about people being turned to salt, and sheep in the wilderness, and snakes talking. it gets good during that vampire and night of the living dead parts. and revelations would make a pretty cool sci-fi movie. WAIT THEY DID it was called Left Behind! Kirk Cameron is a dreamboat! *sigh*
i was also offended when i read the bible, and it said Lot offered up his daughters to be gang-raped instead of the angels. that was pretty sick.

I looked up what I think you are referring too but it does not say what you think. Show me the passage and than I will agree if you are right. But I doubt you understood it.

I thought you were referring to (Genesis 19:8). Read the whole story. Lots daughters did not get used by the men. Because Lot tried to protect the strangers he brought into is house he and his family was saved from destruction. Lot being human did what he thought was right to protect the 2 he brought into the house.
I guess he used his own logic and rational thinking.But in the end it worked out for him.

But the way I see it is that when the men of the town came to seek out who the 2 angels were. What do you do? Send out your two daughters who may or may not have been sinners...but also your blood. Or 2 angels from God?...the one whom you serve and worship. Personally I think he was definitely trying to protect the 2 angels sent to him by God...by offering to send his 2 daughters out.
