Generational Curses.

How many times I have attended a healing seminar, and heard these verses below quoted, and then the people are asked to come to the front if they need healing and deliverance.

"Whoever calls on the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ shall be saved, and in His Name you shall expel demons" (Joel 2:32 & Mark 16:17).

We all know that once we confess, repent, and forgive; and having turned away from every form of sin, and look upon our Lord Jesus Christ alone (as HE is the deliverer), basing our actions solely on what HE did for us through HIS death on the cross; and we have forgiven every person who has ever harmed or wronged us. Then things will begin to happen in our life.

Under those conditions that are accordance with the philosophy of our Lord Jesus Christ, I've seen people who come to the front for healing and deliverance fall to the floor screaming, sobbing, coughing, shaking, while others gave no outward indication that anything was take place inside of them.

Most times at least 75% of them, when asked, have indicated that they felt they had received healing and deliverance for what they prayed for. But, the remaining 25% needed further individual ministry.

Many of the 25% had not fulfilled the conditions that are outlines above, as they failed to forgive those who had harmed and wronged them. However, full deliverance may not be immediate, but progressive, as people come to understand the various areas of their lives that have been affected by demonic influence.

Often in the background of many who continue to suffer and don't seem to be able to get that freedom that they desire, as there looms in the background, a dark shadow that appears to be hovering over their life, such as generations curse or a curse from occult sources, and these people are in desperate need.

But the teaching that says we can be under a curse,denies the full ramifications of what happened on the cross.

We are saved by the work on the cross but many Christians stop there--and wonder where the victory went!

There is another step we must take--baptism of the Holy Spirit. He comes in with power and empowers us. He also gives us greater insight as to what is blocking our forward progress and lack of freedom in certain areas. consulting with Him about these matters of weakness in our walk is important. He will lead us to the help we need.

That help is sometimes deliverance--and sometimes that deliverance is from a generational sin that has followed us.

The scriptures speak in many ways,what may seem silent,is actually answered in other ways..

Col 1:13
For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, 14in whom we have redemption, theforgiveness of sins.

Col 2:15
And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.


However,I understand emotional family patterns,can continue.

We don't fight against flesh and blood but against principalities, powers, rulers of darkness and spiritual hosts, and when we put on the Armour of God, stand and withstand the roaring lion who roams around seeking to devour and return to the house through the many emotionaly family issues that have not been confessed and repented, and are still hanging on and around like a dark shadow.

You've never heard of Neil T Anderson? Victory Over Darkness? For instance, would you want to pass on alcoholism and addictive personality to your children and grandchildren? Not me!

Isn't that why He gave us the Holy Spirit? If our hearts desire is to submit to and serve the Lord I believe He is faithful to guide us into all fullness. He used dreams to show me an area of extreme hatred in my life. It was in the area of previous sin done to me and I had buried it so deep I didn't even know it was there. He revealed it my job was to repent. But even though that unresolved emotional sin in my life was likely holding me back I was unaware of it till then and I don't think it was a demon. However as I desired to please the Lord in all things I took a step of faith and approached the person who had injured me and confessed my sin. I like to think that somehow this freed them too.

Many people can deal with these issue that way and yet many of them need to be taken through a process as many, although saved, are deeply bound in graveclothes that we, the Body of Christ are to help unwrap them of.

Remember Lazarus? Jesus brought Him to new life, but he asked his friends to unwrap him and set him free from those stinking graveclothes he was wrapped up in. He had new life! But he still stunk.

I don't think I expressed any formulaic ritual. I said that deliverance was necessary.

We can submit as much as we like, in all the faith that we have, but if we don't draw near to HIM, resist Satan and his forces, cleanse our hands, purify our hearts, and humble ourselves, then the roaring lion can make life miserable for those who still struggle with sin.

Yes, forgiveness is a two-way thing. I have seen many who forgive for everything and anything and still struggle. The sad thing about it all is that many of those people who they hadn't forgiven are those who had passed away. When they forgave them, they had an immediate release.

Other times they had forgiven them in their carnal mind and not their spiritual mind, and was never prayed their prayer verbally or with another person, and the old enemy will always be there picking away the walls of the house, devouring that person so they can reenter into the house, the soul.

Those fish-hooks still seem to be hanging on, because they had forgiven those people and loved them, but they NEVER forgave themself.

If they are required to love one another as themself, then they need to forgive one another and themself.

The only thing you can pray over your children is HIS protection, and if they walk in accordance to His protection, then they will be protected, but if they go out from under His wings then they will suffer.

There is no formulaic ritual when it comes to prayer, because when you pray in Spiritual Warfare, Satan and his forces are legalists.

The sad thing is that many don't really understand those "earthly and heavenly things" of the natural and supernatural realms.

Unclean spirits (demons) dwell in many houses of new believers and including old believers. If their soul is full of anger, bitterness, resentfulness, etc., etc., then their house is empty, swept, and put in order.

That is why James says for us to cleanse our hands and purify our hearts, and to submit to our Lord Jesus Christ and resist Satan and his forces.

If you don't resist and allow the roaring lion to devour you, then demons will reside in your "soul", the "house"!

????? What is the difference between A and B I am not sure I see the point. They are both the same when we submit to him we resist the devil and he will flee otherwise it is not true submission. gg

I am only quoting what James said---we submit, we resist, we draw near to HIM, we cleanse, we purify, and most of all we are humble.

I thought this generational thing was settled in Jeremiah and Ezekiel:

29 In those days they shall say no more:
‘ The fathers have eaten sour grapes,
And the children’s teeth are set on edge.’
30 But every one shall die for his own iniquity; every man who eats the sour grapes, his teeth shall be set on edge. 31 “Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— 32 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the LORD. 33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD.
