Now, I don't even hate homosexuals, I just don't wish the acceptance of their behavior patterns to become considered NORMAL.

I do not wish their lifestyle to influence the behavior patterns and lead to undue experimentation among impressionable children and teenagers. I don't wish for society to become as accepting of homosexual interactions and attitudes, as the Germans obviously became of Nazi attrocities toward the Jews and others who rejected Nazi philosophy.

Ok, except that I'm not killing anyone by going home to my partner at night. Societal norms change all the time -- it doesn't make sense to compare every such ebb and flow to the murderous Nazi regime. Women used to be considered property and weren't allowed to vote, but over time that changed. Should we liken Gloria Steinem to Hitler?

Actually, the purpose of the event is not to be a fun tradition for children. The purpose is political; it's an opportunity for Bush to pander for public opinion. That it what the event is about. For the White House to be upset about plans to attend the event by gay couples only displays the hypocrisy behind the event.
