LDS Garden of Eden in Missouri

Mormons believe that the Garden of Eden was in Independence, Missouri. They believe Adam and Eve were kicked out of the Garden and went to a place called Adam-ondi-Ahman which is in Jackson County, Missouri. This is where they believe the Second Coming of Jesus will happen.

Taken from a Primary lesson on Adam-ondi-Ahman:

"One day in May 1838 the Prophet and some other men were looking for places to build other cities for the Saints to live in. They came to a place called Spring Hill, where Joseph received another revelation (D&C 116). The Lord told Joseph that his name for Spring Hill was Adam-ondi-Ahman. Orson Pratt later said this name means “Valley of God, where Adam dwelt” in “the original language spoken by Adam” (in Journal of Discourses, 18:343).

According to Joseph Smith, Adam-ondi-Ahman is where God talked with Adam and the place where Adam offered up sacrifices to the Lord. At Adam-ondi-Ahman, Adam called his family together before he died so he could bless them (see D&C 107:53–56).

Adam-ondi-Ahman will also be an important place in the future: near the time of Christ’s second coming, Adam will come again to Adam-ondi-Ahman and hold a great council. All the prophets who have held keys of priesthood authority upon the earth will come to this council to give a report of their work to Adam. Jesus Christ will then come to Adam-ondi-Ahman, and Adam will return the priesthood keys to him. Christ will then return to earth to begin the Millennium, the thousand years when Christ will live on and reign over the earth."

The Bible says tells us the names of the rivers surrounding the Garden of Eden.

Genesis 2:10-14
"A river flowed out of Eden to water the garden, and there it divided and became four rivers. The name of the first is the Pishon. It is the one that flowed around the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold. And the gold of that land is good; bdellium and onyx stone are there. The name of the second river is the Gihon. It is the one that flowed around the whole land of Cush. And the name of the third river is the Tigris, which flows east of Assyria. And the fourth river is the Euphrates."

Let's take a look at where these rivers are located in the Biblical sense.

Now let's look at it from a current modern day view.

So the Garden of Eden was located somewhere in Assyria, and yet Mormons trust their "prophet" more than the Bible itself for the location.

Yes, we know that Mr. Smith was a plagiarist taking names commonly used in the Bible like Moses, Jesus, Adam, Eve, etc and putting them into stories that are similar to the Bible so as to hoodwink people into thinking that his religion was Christianity instead of Christianity itself.

Did you ever notice lifespans before the flood?

Animals were saved; plants not so much.

I've found a few nutrients that may have been diminished by the flood that have proven a great benefit to myself and others.

How so? After the water receded, mountains and valleys were still where they were before the flood. Water invariably seeks the course of least resistance, aka the lowest point. If these large rivers were there previously they would have certainly cut deep channels into the land, eventually returning the water to these natural channels.

I'm not saying they absolutely could not have moved, but it's less likely that they did.

I've read on the effects that this much water can have. It's very turbulent. And water also came up from the ground. So it had to go back somewhere. It would be a stretch to assume that it went back the same place it came from.

Actually it says the water came from above and below: "fountains of the abyss were broken up, and the flood gates of heaven were opened" (Gen 7:11).

So we should disregard what Genesis says about the four rivers converging in one area in the Middle East (in general, not just in reference to this question)? So there really is no official land references for anything pre-Flood? And if those rivers were destroyed, were they all renamed with the same names after the Flood in the Middle East when someone noticed there were four rivers converging in the same vicinity? So they must have been named after the Flood instead of before? So Moses really wasn't fully aware of what he was talking about when he wrote Genesis? Brings up a lot of questions, doesn't it. Like, can we even trust what was inspired to be written in the bible by God?

It also makes you wonder if the South Pole ever broke up again, even partially, what would happen when it melted? Wouldn't flood the earth, but it sure would create havoc! A worldwide cataclysmic event is coming "as in the days of Noah", we know from scripture. Yet Revelation informs us that Jerusalem will remain the same place. Exactly where Jesus was born, had His ministry, and will return above Mt. Olivet.

Something AMAZING will soon occur.

Been there, very nice and quiet place. It's where Adam the Ancient of Days will return and the books will be opened and the saints will be judged. It will be where the different heads of dispensations will make an accounting of their stewardship. The Son of Man / Jesus will come and Adam will hand over the books and accounting " And there was given him dominion, and glory, and akingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed." Dan 7. This will usher in the Lord's thousand year reign.

Effection means the time when a new presidents policies start to take effect.

This quarter (April, May & June) is Trumps effection and the first eclipse is when two successive quarters of GDP growth may be known to meet or exceed 3% i.e. Prosperity is known to have begun.

The second eclipse is when Prosperity may be known to have existed for a period of 7 years i.e. April 2017 to April 2024 is seven years.
