I live in an area of contrasts.Three gangs operate here adding to some of the highest assault/robbery rates in our city of Ottawa.A five year old girl living in one of the several large social housing projects when asked last year what she wanted to be in future said--a drug pusher.An 83 year old woman was recently robbed at 9am at a nearby street corner.A business on that corner had 9 armed robberies in a 6 month period.Three streets away in another section of the same area a house is for sale for $750,000.These 2 worlds of poverty and privilege do not mix.My wife and I feel called to start church services--there are few churches in this area-- on Sept 20th.We are praying a local school becomes available.Already other families--some from social housing-- in this Britannia area have expressed interest in being part of a new Baptist church--B.B.C.We already have a dot com web site in 4 languages--English,French,Spanish.Tagalog-- that we trust and pray God will use to touch lives of visitors.At this critical time your prayers are requested.

May the Lord order your steps in taking back occupied Holy Ground. I ask for wisdom for you as you exercise authority over evil.
