I get the instinct to try and change the subject when the evidence shows that previous attempts to defend the guy's actions are untenable.

Wait just a minute. You guys are the ones who changed the subject. THIS subject was about Biden. Then you turned it into ANOTHER thread on Jan 6. Why don't you go back and post on any of the Jan 6 threads and leave this one to defending Biden rather than turning it into a Jan 6 thread. We've got enough of those.

The speeches are the smallest part of the conspiracy to stop the installation of the winner of the free and fair election.
The states did change election laws in violation of the US constitution. This is a fact and this is why Trump wanted the states to recertify the results. Is it a fair election if states illegally changed voting rules?

Independents have turned heavily against Biden. Even CNN admits it (one the most far left wing sites in the U.S.)

"President Joe Biden won the 2020 election in large part because he was able to win the center. He emerged with a 13-point win with independent voters, a group that Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton lost by 4 points in 2016. (House Democratic candidates, for their part, took independents by 9 points in 2020.)"

That's why it should be alarming to Biden that the recent downturn in his approval rating has come disproportionately from independents, as the Washington Post's Henry Olsen first pointed out. This slide could have major electoral implications, if it holds.

You can see this trend among independents in polls that meet CNN's standards for reporting. Biden's net approval rating (approve-disapprove) among independents in polls completed in September and October stands at -16 points. Not surprisingly, his net approval rating is significantly higher among Democrats (+79 points) and lower among Republicans (-84 points)."

Independents have turned on Joe Biden - CNNPolitics

Thanks for bringing back this thread to Biden. It was getting boring trying to read through all the anti-Trump Jan 6 posts by the libs. They seem to love to detail the thread.

Perhaps you missed this part

And we fight. We fight like hell. And if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore.

Oh good grief this has been debated over and over again. And I know you have most likely seen posts that list democrats saying the same thing. You know it's political speech. But you continue to pretend it isn't. It's been part of political speech forever. Time to lay it aside. But I know you will continue to perpetuate a false assumption.

Anyway can we please return Biden? That's what this thread is about and not Jan 6.

Back to the topic of Biden. Biden won.

It is when it includes inciting a mob of rioters to attack the US Capitol. I know not everyone agrees, but that's on them, not me.

What makes you think he was talking about them?
ANYway, as others have said, let's get back on topic.

They are the Presidential election deciders, which is what I said. We turned against the Defeated Former President. And, if the GOP continues to let Trump run things, it will be the same in 2024.
There will be a new defeated President in two years. Biden.

They've told their followers that if they don't fight they'll lose the country, just before telling a large assembled mob to march on the Capitol? I'd love to see a link to that story.

This post is in the weird position of asking an off topic question then complaining that it is off topic. Hard to know which claim, if either, to take seriously.

At least you avoided answering the question, or returning to the topic. Score 10 points on the diversion scale.

Marking only the second time in over 25 years that's happened. Luckily, we have a trailblazer of failure to learn from... I'm not saying that Biden should follow exactly in the footsteps of his predecessor, but if he did, he'd know how to do it right.

Hmmm. A request to "get back on topic" followed by a complaint that I didn't continue talking about something off topic.

Well, we will find out for sure. He recently suggested that the next election might be stolen (unless a Democrat wins, the unspoken part)...but that HIS election was the most safe and secure ever, of course. You can't make this stuff up.

Well, as disappointing as it is to see the President act in any way like his predecessor, it's true -- and verified by dozens of independent investigations -- that the 2020 election was secure and legitimate.

In response, of course, the GOP has done everything they can to erode public confidence in the electoral process... and on the state levels, the electoral process itself.

After all, when it comes to "widespread election fraud" -- turns out you can make this stuff up.

Exactly. The 2020 election was "safe and secure"... because he won.

But he is now suggesting that the identical procedures that ensured HIS election was safe and secure suddenly are not reliable for any future election. Dubious, to say the least.

No,it was safe and secure because even the Republicans who investigated it found that it was safe and secure.

It would be if he was actually saying that. Alas, the only sources are the ones still claiming that the 2020 election was stolen from Donald.

Then it will be safe and secure in 2024...right? What is Biden yammering about, that the next election might not be safe and secure?

That depends on the republican efforts to sabotage it.

Remember, they lost last time, and they don't want to lose again what choice do they have but cheat?

No, you can't have it both ways. Either the elections are safe and secure or they are not. If they are not, neither was Biden's. If they are, so will 2024's election be safe and secure.

That last sentence could be equally applied to any election.

I see -- it is impossible for anything whatsoever to ever change in your view -- what is now, always was and ever will be.

That's.... profoundly sad.
