Before I had a chance to watch it, one of the morning shows GAVE AWAY EVERYTHING!! I was so upset. I don't read the books for exactly that reason - I enjoy the show, and like to be surprised by all the twists and turns.
Oh well, even knowing the idea of what was going to happen, it was still a shocker to watch it unfold.
Everything I have watched was very careful not to give away anything.
I'm sure they got alot of complaints.

Yes, that upset me too. And, really? (Spoiler ahead) Robb Stark didn't become wroth and start rampaging - at least a scratch of his sword on someone! Catelyn did more damage than he did...
Spoiler alert highlight to see:
I was disappointed in this too. He is injured but doesn't even try to hurt anyone, he died a simple death, nothing heroic, nothing noble.
I think I would have liked the wolf dying better had it been free to fight to the death. In reality, the men wouldn't release a wolf then shoot it, they would do as they did. I assume in the book, they didn't think to cage the wolf. I don't understand why they would cage their wolf in a time of war anyway. Maybe they covereed it, I am keeping up with scenes from youtube posters.
Spoiler end

In the book what happens is hardly a shock. The scope perhaps, but there was a waiving red flag before the axe fell.

Relates to Bills hidden spoiler.

Bill how do you hide it like that?

EDIT: If I'm reading your spoiler alert part right you are assuming incorrectly regarding the book.

I bet.

Type it out, then change the print color to white. Unreadable until you highlight it. Tell people you did it, and they have no one to blame for spoiler other then themselves.
Put something on the end in visible color so they know where it ends so they highlight it all.
