I got on the bus one day, a young Christian fellow I know was sitting there so I sat beside him.
He told me his church had started G something and he had to get a certain number of people into his home for the group. He forcefully tried to recruit me. He was very insistent and seemed to be insecure/ paranoid.
I got off the bus early and walked 2 miles home!

There is a church in London that follows it, one of the biggest churches here, but I think it works within the Latin American community, I could be wrong.
It is exactly shepherding, a pyramid scheme and it may motivate people but overall it can be very controlling.

sooo, what exactly is G-12? I have never heard of it. Are they ALL controlling or just a few? (We find controlling spirits in all churches.)

I have been to a G12 church and the one I went to didn't make a big deal about the exact number 12. Lots of their cells had 5 or 6 people and they wern't losing any sleep just because it wasn't 12.

My personal opinion is that G12 is one of these things that the rottenness reaches to the top. Not to say that they have nothing useful to offer the body of Christ, but that it is a pattern of control that infects most if not all groups that partake in it.

WOW - my old pastor Colin Dye swears by it - he lost half his satelites over it.
Not sure how its's going - but I know the men's groups were wishy washy and some of the leaders were a bit weak.

Might work in China though - they appear a bit more dedicated than the "western" style believer...which I know you have to be with this thing.
