  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

funny question

why all creature's mouth is on their head ? even ant have a mouth on their
head .why their mouth not on their belly ?the path of food will more near if
mouth on belly . if you believe darwinism you must admit that mouth can on
other part of body. this is my atheist company 's funny question when I ask
him why thunder only in summer .

Good question. I believe everything developed from a sensory filled central (the head) and everything else came later. I don't think we could hold a belly in our head. It slumped away from the sensory filled head and trailed with it, an esophagous, leaving the mouth. But starfish and other sea creatures have the mouth near the belly. And evolutionists believe we derived from early sea creatures. Did they not have a good system of mouth-belly's and we evolved away from it? No, I think gravity has a factor to play in the eating process as a land animal. But, are not four legged creatures horizontal in eating?

Interesting subject.

Not all animals mouths are on their heads. However, many animals that at one point shared a common ancestor, also share common traits. A common ancestor had a mouth on its head.
I coudln't think of any examples of animals that do not have mouths on their head, can you give us one?

There are many very strange animals in the ocean.

the starfish, doesn't really have a head, its mouth is on the underside of its body.

The Octopus has what could be considered a head, but I believe it has its mouth on the underside of its body.

Turbellaria flatworms, also known as planarians. The pharynx extends from the underside of the body, below the head.

Why must we admit this?

In addition, atheism doesn't equal darwinism nor acceptence of 21 century science.

In addition, do you honestly believe that thunder only occurs in the summer?

i think he's totally mixing up the part about 'random mutation' and thinking it means 'random body part placement'

having a mouth in your head, (and a crossing windpipe and foodpipe) is indicative of either an idiot designer, or a blind process which just selects for whatever happens to be the most successful at the time. There are lots of other examples of bad design, such as our knees, the shape of the appendix, the coccyx, the extensor coccyxis, vertebral discs, and so on. I am glad you brought up this important point against ID, thankyou.

Having a mouth on your head does provide an advantage though, from an early evolutionary point of view, such as development of skull and later jaws, the ability to see what you are munching on and having you mouth located on a reasonably versatile appendige.
