When you die, what do you wish your funeral would be?

Would you have an open casket or a closed casket?

Any special theme funerals? Star Wars themed, Harry Potter themed?

What last songs would you like played?

etc..?

Remember.. you can't spell "funeral" without "fun"!

I'd like to leave explicit instructions to have my body hidden away where nobody will ever find it. A series of false reports about my last known whereabouts and my involvement with the Chinese mafia will then be released to local news agencies, along with a fictitious monetary reward and a hotline that anyone can call to tip off the "authorities." Nobody will answer the hotline, but there will be a recorded message with an angry Chinese man yelling obscenities, followed by a barrage of gunfire in the background.

I like Daniel Tosh's idea for a funeral. If you haven't heard it listen to his album True Stories I Made Up.

It involves passing around my severed head, whoever holds it has to say something about me, then they have to toss it around for at least three attempts without dropping it or they have so start the whole funeral over. The catch is Karch Kiraly comes in and spikes it at the last minute.

But the bonus is my will is a treasure map.

I want a Jazz Funeral.... that is, morn me until you put my body in the ground, then you better party and celebrate life, after all, mine is now over, go live yours.

Oh and closed casket because I will be donating healthy organs to save lives or for science and don't want you to remember me as scar-covered and a lifeless stiff, but as a man who lived life.

I've never given much thought to it. I do know that I don't want to be cremated, nor do I want a wake or an open casket at my funeral. I find wakes and open caskets extremely weird. I refuse to walk up and stare at the deceased in their casket whenever I attend a funeral...I don't care who it is.

Closed casket >> slowly lower my body (suspended with cables) from the ceiling in the middle of the eulogy, then fly me around the room over the crowd. Then, the casket opens, and my body is lowered neatly inside.

Guaranteed standing ovation.

I'd like my body to be on a computer chair and pushed around.

That would be funny. Some people who worked at a funeral did this with some corpses. Word got out and I think they each got 5 years in prison.

I might donate my body to science. The plan is twofold: The research organization pays for my funeral and my donated body can be used for scientific progress. Kill two birds with one stone.

The thought of it, however, doesn't sink too well for me right now because I don't know how my other beloved ones might feel about this. Who knows.

Most of the bodies that are donated to science are just used for cosmetic testing.

You really want your corpse to be used to see if the new fad in beauty cream works or not?

It's not as glorious as one might hope. Viagra was tested in this manner.. It really is sick.

There are also organizations that display bodies. Really fascinating but also disgusting to think that these people have been alive at one point.

There are many other organizations (medical science, dummy testing, forensics), so I think it'll be okay since I'll be dead by then.
