Fundamentalists seperate from Ecumenicists

Definition #6 in our Fundamentalist Congregation area is...

Exposes and separates from all ecclesiastical denial of that Faith, compromise with error, and apostasy from the Truth

Ecumenicists don't believe in Biblical SEPERATION, they instead seek something they call "unity" with Roman Catholicism. Which requires a violation of definition #6 above. Therefore i propose removing Ecumenicists from our Fundamentalist Congregational area and directing their participation to the "ask a fundamentalist a question" area or the "debate a fundamentalist" area.

Fundamentalists have completed their decision to obey Yahshua and not ignore the multitude of very clear commands in Yah's Word to biblically SEPERATE from anyone who is not bringing to the fellowship table sound doctrine.

Many Christians say they are fundamentalists, but do they know what that means? I don't believe they do because if they did, there'd be more outreach and soulwinning going on. How many of us know what that is? Soulwinning? Have you ever done it? Have you ever shared the Gospel with someone? No, I did not ask "Have you ever shared your faith with someone?" Huge difference!

I know of no other group who are fundamentalists other than fundamental Baptists, of which they adhere to the King James Version of the Bible (hence, they are known as KJVO -- King James Version Only). The church I attend isn't fundamental, but it does preach the Gospel.

If we left Roman church because of the unbiblical things that they taught, why should we seek to rejoin them seeing as the have not removed (and actually added) teachings that cause us to separate ourselves from them?

I'm a full blown fundie, but that doesn't imply that I wont followship with my RCC friends. They are out brothers and sisters besides our different views of theology. The bible doesn't save anyone although inerrent, Jesus does.

I think we can all agree that despite the many errors in the RCC, there are some Christians in the church that we can still have fellowship with. That's not the same as seeking unity with the RCC.

Jesus said to love thy neighbor. He didn't say to move in with your neighbor.
Fellowship means exactly that. There should never be a reason not to fellowship with your fellow Christian or even with non-Christians. As long as the forum rules are followed, fellowship should be encouraged not discouraged.

I agree, I just don't want to head in some extremist direction. Several individuals in my current church don't even want to fellowship with RCs.

I am by nature one of those irritating nit-picking, gnat-straining idiots Christ had so many wonderful things to say about. So as I criticize, just and bear me...

There IS occasion not to fellowship w fellow Christians, and it is outlined by our Lord and also Paul. It involves a procedure by which someone refuses to repent of some grave offense to either you (as outlined in Matt 18:15) or is a shame to the whole Church (1Cor 5:11). Now I agree that one should not extend such passages to mean that fellowship with an RC is wrong; I am merely pointing out that there IS a time to withold fellowship.
