Serious message, but in a style that sort of takes you on a journey back in time. Anyone who has heard it would know what I was talking about.

To be honest, I never knew Petra could be so versatile as to dabble in so many styles other than the straightforward rock that they did, until I purchased Petra's debut album from a cheapie tape rack at a gas station years ago. Below is a track from that album. You won't believe what you hear (but I think you'll enjoy it, all the same).

Incidentally, I've had friends over the years that were not much into Petra. In fact, some of them weren't much for any form of CCM at all, having more of a taste for country/bluegrass gospel and other traditional/"grass roots" music. Well, I've played this song for them, and they really enjoy it. And they can't believe it when I tell them it's a "rock group".
