dunno about that, since you have to sacrifice something of equal value to get something else. Seems like a double edged sword.

Im looking at the episode where they tell about when they tried to bring back their mom.... so sad, I felt sorry for them.... lost their mom, and their bodys(arm and leg.... whatever). They really loved each other to go through all of that.

Yeah I felt the same way too. They did it out of love and not for anything else.

Before the episode came on I worry that their might have died by murder, but still it sad to see her died by the illness and never telling anyone she had it. I guess she didn't want to worry anyone. Also it was sad that she still want to see her husband ever thou he left her. It was also sad with what happen to Al and Ed, Ed must feel terrible for what happen to Al and that he feel its his fault for what happen to Al and Al feels its his fault for what happen to Ed. I just hope Al and Ed don't try that again or something worse might happen.

I hope not either.... though it wouldnt surprise me if near the end of their journey one of them wants to try again. I know theyre just cartoons but I hope they dont.

It's quite an interesting show. For the most part it's factual, well except for the transmutation circles which were created for an element within the show. But still, you gotta love how they still do keep all of our favorite elements etched in the inside of it.

Getting their bodies back should not be all that hard. But for their mother, the show would have to turn from its scienctific stance in order or them to complete a human transmutation..

FMA is considered factual nowadays? I disagree... in fact, I'm kind of glad that FMA didn't delve too deep into alchemy. It's more astrology than science, but thankfully they didn't throw that into everyone's faces.

SPOILERS:

On a side note, Scar is an Ishvarite. Is this Ishvar a metaphor for God, seeing as Leto ("false god" in the first episode) was a false one? I'm very interested as to whether Scar is a vigilante crusader or psychotic maniac.

Also, I think everyone who gotten about halfway through the series should bow their heads for a moment of silence in remembrance of Maes Hughes.

Alchemy has NOTHING to do with astrology.. In fact, it's pre-chemistry. That's basically what Alchemy is.. Achemy itself was not created to serve any god, but rather it was theEgyptians studying the divsion of the elements.. There are the four elements.. Air, Earth, Wind, and fire (I'm quoting this all form memory) and the seven planentary elements... It'sbasic chemistry with a twist..

I kinda agree with you, they are using science, but I also dont agree with alot of science stuff too, lol. I'm always getting in debates with my buddy that is totally into science.....I just know Fullmetal Alchemist is a really good anime! Ohh and Alchemy is a real science but they cant to what they do in the anime!

It says it has alot to do with it. But then again, which century Alchemy are we talking about? That page was set up by people who wrote in articles. If I had something better to write I could sumbit a better article and they'd change it. I got what I know from actually studying Alchemy, and reading through many, many old manuscripts. There is two basic sides to it..

half of it is a cult, the other part science.. FMA deals with the part of science... The real part..
