• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together.   • Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private.   • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hello :wave:

I have to admit that I'm really not too much of a Christian right now, I really don't know what I believe in. But dispite this fact, I have to ask if those of you who are strong in their faith could pray for my best friend.

She has an ED, we actually met in OP therapy. She got really bad a few weeks ago and was hospitalized. We were told that she would be coming home last Friday, but then on that day they said it would be "Monday or Tuesday". Monday came and they said "2 or 3 more days". On Wednesday they announced that she would be coming home today (Friday), and now today I just found out that they're just saying "Before Christmas".

I know that it's absolutely selfish of me, but I NEED her back home. I miss her so much, and I have really never had to get on without her here with me to talk to when things are getting rough. Im having an awful night and now I realize that I can't drive over to her house (my refuge in hard times).

Please pray that she recovers quickly and gets to come home soon..for her good as well as mine! :help:

Prayer sent, sweetie. :hug: Just make sure that you encourage each other in a walk towards recovery, instead of a competition going the opposite way. :hug: I know how things can just ... happen that way, without you intending them to be that way. But I hope that she comes back soon ... and know - I know this isn't the same thing - but April & I (and so many other girls on here!) are here for you whenever you need to talk. :hug:

Yeah, that's definately important. We're very recovery minded, with another of our friends. We're going to kick ana's behind!

Its just hard to be struggling so much and not have her around.

I'm sorry to hear that PureGrace. :hug: I'm positive that it gives her strength knowing that she has a support network of friends and family who are praying for her and thinking of her during this time. She is getting the care, support and treatment that she needs and deserves - it's hard fighting and sometimes you need that extra help to get there. I pray she will be home in time for Christmas.

But please know that you have friends on here and in real life who are there for you if needed. You can PM me any time, I hope you know that. I think I know who your friend is, and she will be in my prayers. :hug:

First of all, :hug: for you. I can relate to not being able to go see your best friend when thats all you need in the moment. My best friend and I have the same thing. I'm praying for you though, sweetheart, and if you ever want to talk about anything or just vent. . .you can talk to me. I hope things get better for you soon.

Well my friend is home from the hospital for a few hours today on pass (she has to go back soon) and Ive been talking to her and it turns out her mom has been lying to her friends about why she is in the hospital. She told us that she was having a medicine change and it was precautionary, but my friend just admitted to me that she tried to kill herself. :( I am so glad that it didnt work. I cant imagine my life without my best friend.
Now I'm just hoping she'll be home by the time winter break is over (2nd week of january)
I MISS HER SO MUCH. Gahh. I hate this. :sigh: :cry:
