did they really end the anime early?

They did and they can not continue with that anime because of a MAJOR contradiction between the actual Manga and the Anime series. The only way I think they could go about continue is starting over with an OAV or something of that nature.

Also, if you're wondering what that major contradiction is, it is a very big spoiler which is why i'm not mentioning it here. If you're curious enough, please ask me through PMs, I don't mind telling you if you don't already know and want to know.

I've just started reading "Fruits Basket" and am compleatly addicted. The anime is a different style then what I am used to (InuYasha, Kenshin, Wish..even Ranma 1/2) But it's still very /very/ good.
Has anyone else read this series or even heard of it?

i've been doing MAJOR furuba research. i mean M-A-J-O-R. i watched all 26 episodes and read books 1-half of 18. if anyone else knows about what happens in book 17 then they know why it was such a huge shock to me.

i wish they'd continue the anime but i don't know how they're going to do it unless they remake the end of ep 26

i'm a ram so i'm supposed to be timid, shy, take a lot of time to 'doll myself up' in the morning, and smell of fresh flowers. i'm the complete and total opposit of all of that.

i'm a bit like shigure... (that's not a good thing) and i'm hyper like momiji, kagura, and ritsu (he's hyper when he's apologizing) but i'm most like aya-kun. how could you NOT wanna be like him?

Have you read "Ruroni Kenshin"? That is a great shonan series..as well as "Whistle" <--though there are no epic battles in that one..

I love fruitsbasket. It's one of the sweetest, laughable series out there. And yet the manga never fails to thrill it's followers!

I'm already at chapter 123 .. and there are so many surprises by the time you're in that chapter!

how do you find ch 123? i can only find translations for up to ch 105.
