bcmom-I am in the same boat! I read the KJV Bible but do at times look at other translations to help clarify passeges. I ask God to help me understand the Word when I read and try and apply it to my life.

Another great Bible study is through Oneplace.com and I listen to Dr J. Vernon McGee. He has a "through the Bible" program and he takes each book, chapter by chapter. His course will take you through the Bible in 5 years. I have been listening each day since November of 2013. Dr McGee died in the late 1980's but had recorded these messages in the 70's (i think my times are right). Even if you do not like McGee, there are other studies to join in with.

I will start with Proverbs 3:24-25
Verse 25 is a great comfort to me. God will take care of the next minute for me, "be not afraid of sudden fear"

I sing Psalms 46 when I am down. It always guides me back to the fact that he has everything under control. It lifts my spirit to know that he has the power to answer my prayer and I dont need to fear my present situation. Just singing it makes me feel he is my refuge and strength.

So inspiring thank you for sharing it! It is easy for me to worry about my problems,so I look for scriptures to lift me back up this one helps to do that
