I'm blaming the designer. I know it was evolution, because you really want to make sure the sex drive is paramount for the survival of one's genes. But God didn't need to make it feel as good as it does and He didn't need to flood the body with testosterone and estrogen during the times when young men and women are least able to ignore their effects.

What we need is some scientist to release a virus that will render all women barren. Then, rather than having to take a pill to stop getting pregnant, they need to take a pill if they want to get pregnant. Problem solved.

If that's your reasoning, then you should scorn the practice of teachers telling children about LBGT issues--like many Christians do. Each parent should be able to decide if their child is taught that.

There is a lot to unpack here - but I will just try to address this generally.

God designed men and women to be fruitful, multiply and replenish the Earth.

He wants His children to have sexual relations within the bounds that He has set.

He has given instruction on how best we can avoid sexual sin.

If you think it is appropriate for children to be having sex - then you have a mess on your hands.

I think the Vatican had it at 12 not so long ago. The problem we all have is having some kids being given no information about sex until they are well past the age that they are able to have it. It's a bit late to tell your daughter how not to get pregnant after she's already become pregnant.

That was written with my tongue firmly planted in my cheek. That said, it would certainly solve the abortion problem as there'd be no unwanted pregnancies.

I don’t think sexuality is something scary. And I think comprehensive sex ed can’t happen if we don’t talk about sexuality openly.

I think I have no business legislating the medical care other people are accessing and it’s between them and their doctors. I also think the fear mongering is disingenuous, but without it, your arguments are flaccid.

Those of us who want educated kids don’t want our kids to get a lesser education because other people don’t want their kids to know that LGBTQA+ persons exist. There’s no logical reason to pretend an entire group of people don’t exist because they don’t want their kids to know about them.

I do not agree with that at all. Our society is saturated with it - making it common place.

The parents have already failed for allowing their daughter to be in a situation to get pregnant in the first place.

Claiming that they should have informed their daughter ahead of time is redundant.
