It wasn't responsible for anything. It's merely a nearly accurate description of observed phenomena. It's application, mostly via it's implication of energy-mass equivilence, is what sparked the creation of the nuclear warhead. Do not mistake a theory for a moral agent.

The "spirit" your talking about are demons. One third of the angels followed satan in his rebellion against God.

So you now claim that your holy spirit, is in fact a demon? A fallen angel?
Or, more probably, that the abominable invokations are for demons, whereas the condonable invokations are for angels, yes? And your holy spirit would be the highest angel, yes?
