Friendship or beyond?

Im in a real struggle here. :'(
I like this girl I guess sorta....shes such a NICE person....she can joke around, she can be a nice person, shes there for ppl and everything. I REALLY dont wanna like her though :'(....we have an amazing friendship and its just the lousy emotions thats kicking in. And right now....all I want to do is just seek God....but these darn emotions Its just really hard to concentrate on that right now....and I know there r a lot of girls that are nice and everything but not the ppl i know lol.....some of them lie, some of them gossip...and stuff like that but she doesnt ...shes just a nice girl...
theres just a few probs.......# 1 is i dont wanna be distracted by her from my development in Christ and # 2 is that shes brown...meaning muslum, and im asian so ya lol....u know brown ppl and their culture. I wish there was more nice people like her in my life right now lol then I woudnt have to "like" a person in that way. lol....but ya....I dunno what to do :'(

Jun_Canada, you seem to be in one tough crossroad in which i completely understand. haha...it's just those raging emotions you can't get off and it's always the case. I pray to God for help in getting rid of those emotions too or at least controlling them but i don't feel much relief from my predicament. I'm asian too and had a couple of crushes over non-christians before. Those were nice girls, i mean they were so nice i could call them perfect. And it's amazing how many "perfect" people i came across..lol. But when i look back, i realise they weren't that "perfect" because they weren't suitable for me.

Probably you should try developing your relationship with the other friends of yours. Maybe this would be a distraction? But i know it might not work coz you'll still be thinking of her whereever you are. So not much help from me i suppose. But i do know what God thinks. He has the perfect girl for us if we can wait, wait...and wait.

I dont think about her 24/7...its just shes a amazing funny girl.....some1 I want as just a friend...but this thing at the back of my head keeps saying "You like her" and all that stuff. I can talk with her over MSN Messenger but I guess when I see her in person... lol....shes sorta attractive...so I dont really like talking to her in person I wish I could but its just the darn emotions that i dont like which drives me away from talking to her

Jun your message confuses me.Maybe because you're so emotionally involved with her that you're confused.In fact the only word in your message that is meaninful to me is "muslim".That spells big time trouble to me.Islam was founded by a serial sex offender who preyed on young girls. The fact that the muslim holy book is filled with so many calls for revenge and violence in contrast to the new testament which teaches us to do good to those who abuse us ,turn the other cheek when attacked and as Jesus put it,"he who takes up the sword shall perish with the sword";that it should be obvious to you who created and has promoted Islam to be the mother of all deception that it is - Satan.Christians are required to not enter into close relationships with non-Christians because almost always,their closeness to God fades due to the negitive spiritual influence they are under.So I would strongly urge you to distance yourself from this deceived person.She has you in such an emotional turmoil that quite frankly,you're no longer thinking clearly.What it really comes down to is which is more important to you,a relationship with the Holy Spirit of God or a relationship with a body of a girl and a mind of Satan.

Hey Jun_Canada, there's one phrase that i find very useful. I can't remember the exact phrase but it goes something like this.
Love is easy to find but true friends are rare.

Jun-Sometimes it is easy to get "friendship" love confused with "relationship" love. Maybe the fact that she is a female helps to confuse those lines a bit. I would definately be very cautious being anything other than a friend because this girl is of a different faith than you, and this would make your relationship be unequally yoked. This type of relationship is a tough one, meaning you are a Christian and she isn't. You will both have different goals and priorities, you will look at religion and faith differently. Salvation issues will be different for the both of you. As you grow in your faith, you will come to see this issues more and more.

I would surely commit this to a lot of prayer and ask God to guard your heart in this matter. Our hearts can definately be tricky sometimes!

Yeah, that's great. I'll cherish her as a true friend then. Dont' forget that love comes easily but true friends are rare. So don't worry about love. relax and enjoy life..
