Friday Night

I guess the other Golden Eagles are out kicking up their heels tonight. I'm just sitting here in the nest drinking hot milk and knitting.

My husband and I already went out to dinner. Now we are home digesting. He had enchiladas and I had a burrito.

Well, it's no longer Friday night, but Claire (wife) and I are getting ready to go out and suprise a friend with her 60th birthday party.
Tomorrow is also busy. The three other men who I play golf with are getting together with wives for an evening BBQ. After church of course.

No migs, not me. I stay home and do what I like to do. Sometimes I embroider, sometimes knit, sometimes watch a video, but mostly, I hang around to see what you lot are up to!

My Friday night wasn't all that - got chinese take away and watched Friday night TV was in bed by 11pm - shocker I think I need a life!

I spent time on Friday night with a girlfriend and watched a DVD, "Radio", anyone seen it? Great movie. We also bought fish and chips for dinner.
It's Saturday night now, and I'm in CF , which is cool, and in between, reading a book "The Betrayal" by Beverley Lewis. Great book. I'm enjoying myself anyway.

We had an all girls party at my house last night. My daughter invited 5 of her friends over for movies and a sleepover. Another lady was here for the movies. We watched Sense and Sensibility and also Pride of the Yankees with Gary Cooper. It's a wonderful old black and white about Lou Gehrig's life with the NY Yankees.

Anyone seen either of these?

I think I saw a little of the Gary Cooper one. But I didn't see the whole thing. I'm not really a movie person. I get fidgety sitting in one place too long.

I don't know the old movie with Gary Cooper, but I looooove Sense & Sensibility! Oh, what a tale... sooo romantic, oh boy, makes your heart swoon!

I haven't read that series of books yet Lori, but I'm heading towards it. I've read 'The Covenant' and am reading 'The Betrayal' now, and have 'The Sacrifice' which is the next in this series by Beverley Lewis. They are the best books, you girls ought to try 'em.

I liked Rainman. Love Dustin Goffman!
Beaches ... yes. Great show.
Steel Magnolia's. ... terrific.
Pride and Predjudice .... fantastic.

But, must admit I love the old films of the 1950's & 60's. Actually, I like alot of films! Have a good library of them!

I understand that the Rainman had a song in there that I love, Dry Bones. My mother had that song on a record when I was a kid. It's such a fun song! It mentions the Almighty, too!
