Okay everybody, Here's the full story, from what I know:
Two of my friends, Buddy and Jessica, were driving home from a party at about midnight Saturday night. They were both drunk. Buddy was driving Jess's car (a Z93), evidently without a license because they couldn't find his wallet. Buddy's 18 or 19; Jess is about 17. So, in other words, they were both minors, which makes it even worse. He was trying to make a left turn, misjudged it, so he swerved to the left across the left side of the road. They hit several trees, one of which struck Buddy in the head, knocking him out. Jess had her legs crossed Indian-style, which was lucky for her, cause the AC unit dropped down where her legs could have been. So in other words, she could have lost both of her legs. The police and EMS had to bring the "jaws of life" to get them out, which took about 45 minutes. At first, they thought Buddy might have some brain damage, but thank God he doesn't, although he still may have some minor damage. But you can't really tell the difference anyway. Sorry, i shouldn't be making jokes right now. Anyway, Jess broke 7 ribs on her right side; she also broke her collarbone, wrist, and ankle and fractured her skull. Buddy's still in ICU. He woke up Sunday morning and started to rip off the oxygen things; the doctor said this could be a good sign; however, he might have thought that he was still in the car because he kept on screaming out Jessica's name.
So here's the story so far. Please keep them and their families in prayer. Jessica's family might sue Buddy, so keep that situation in prayer too.
Thanks, and God bless!
