  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Too many conspiracy theories.
I suspect they are just another one of those fraternal organizations that gets together to drink discounted alcohol, and to have a monthly meeting that involves some silly ritualistic elements. (I was in the Elks).

The other conspiracy theories have been debunked long ago.
(Many US presidents and founding fathers were Freemasons, and there are many Freemasons who are Christian).

Yes-its possible-but most masons don't know this-only the very top ones. I have heard a few different interviews from exmasons on various christian radio shows-and they have testified on this. I don't believe their lying -they seemed really sincere converted christians.

Anyone else here think top Freemasons worship Lucifer? A lot of key evidence shows that they do.

O RLY?

Of course, your sources are likely referencing Leo Taxil, who was actually trying to make the Catholic Church look ridiculous.

In other words, display said evidence, or lay low your claims.

AKA, Post Proof Or Retract.

sidhe, who finds masons quite terribly inoffensive, but rather prefers offensive things

A loooooooooong time ago, I came across a website called the Masonic presidents' site, or something like that. It had pictures Bill and Hillary at a supposed Satanic ritual party thing. The site claimed that almost all American presidents were Masons.. with the exception of a few like Lincoln and Kennedy and that was why they were assassinated. That was pretty funny.

Of course, the favorite conspiracy theory amongst many Muslims is that the U.S. government planned the 9/11 attacks.... Want to start a thread on that one?

Freemasonry is monotheism and mysticism (a religion based on mystical communion with an ultimate reality) and nothing more. There is nothing satanic about it. It's man-made.

and not only that, they control the weather. I won't even broach the subjects of mind control and currency manipulation!
Did you get your information from YouTube videos? This "controlling the weather" thing sounds awfully familiar...

You're right about the lack of Satan, but it's not even a religion; it's one of those fraternal organizations like the Elks or Rotary.

Well, in that case the U.S. wasn't founded as a Christian nation but a Luciferian one.

Guess we'd better scrap the Constitution and start again.

It's not sweet it's downright evil that this so called gentleman club has satanic worshiping at its core.

No, what's really downright evil is repeating gossip in the hope that eventually someone might imagine it's backed up by serious evidence.
The most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly - it must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over.

Oh my! In quoting Goebbels, am I committing reduction ad Hitlerum?

One of the 'miracles' of the early Revolutionary period was the remarkable ability of men who had never met each other from widely scattered places in the Colonies to work so well together. One of the pirmary reasons for this ability was the widespread membership by the members of the Continential Congress in the Masonic organization in the Colonies. Every city and every Colony had established Masonic Lodges. For example: if George Washington had never met John Adams, Washington knew a member of a Masonic Lodge in Philidelphia who knew a member in New York City who knew a member in Boston who knew Adams. It was through the reputation of these Masonic members who later became the leaders of the Revolution that paved the way for them to work so successfully together for a 10 year peiod and fight a victorious war against the strongest Naval power and one of the strongest Land powers in Europe. In fact, the best indicator of support for the American Revolution in both the Colonies and in Great Britian was membership in a Masonic Lodge.

40-50 years later in the boom towns along the newly constructed Erie Canal in upperstate new York, it was a social and political revolt against the ongoing and stiffling influence of the Masonic organization as arbitar of the existing business and political elities throughout the USA that lead to the formation of the anti Masonic Party [one of the original leaders was Wm Seward] in New York which later became the Republican Party. Various aspects of this 'revolt' in upperstate New York which grew out of the anti Masonic movement can be seen in the Millerites and the 1st serious 'end-of'the-world-church' movement in the USA, the expansion of lengthly [months] revivials as a primarly source of denomiational growth, the founding of the Mormon Church and a series of important social and political reform movements including prison reform, anti slavery, women's voting, marriage and family rights, adult education and temperance.

Concerning the conspiracy junk about the Masons that passes as popular history: it is a shame for any educated person to give any credibility to it. It ranks up there with the Witch Mania of the 14-18th Centuries, the on-going anti semitic lies of the Protocals of the Elders of Zion and the hysterical uproar by self proclaimed and hypocritical 'American patriots' over the Islamic Community Center in NYC.
