All I can say is.. skip it. What a boring film. I didn't read the book, but if the movie is true to the book then basically it seems the author took several racially charged events where the "victim" claimed a "black guy in a hoodie carjacked us" and incidents where the police response was to basically lock down a "black" community... squished them together into one story and wrote an unoriginal novel.
The use of the grounds of an old hellish orphanage as a possible burial site was supposed to be what? Symbolic of something? It was a wasted diversion from the inevitable ending not sure why it's camped up in the trailers. It might have at least been interesting to explore more of the relationships of the people involved in the story but that's left undone...there's no character development at all....
I suppose I shouldn't complain that it's not worth the price of a ticket considering I kind of knew that ahead of time
But really.. if you have any inclination to see it.. wait for video (and don't rush out even then...)
