I like to at least try to figure out how it’s possible I can’t know my future choices, yet can know they’re already set…Maybe it’s because my future choices are already known by the maker of the movie, even though, I myself do not yet know my future choices.

Maybe you have a better answer?
I find the idea of predeterminism - at a macro-scale level - a little too much like 'fate', having a teleological implication; but those choices are, nevertheless, causal. There are so many unpredictable variables that affect your evaluation of the options available, e.g. the experiences you happen to have had, your current mood, how focused or distracted you are, what you've been thinking about or remembering, etc., that I don't think it's helpful to think in terms of predeterminism. Only the imaginary Laplace's demon could see your choices as predetermined.
