Free Huggs?

Hi there!

It's my first message and I am quite happy yo be here. I need some help with the following: what's your attitude to Free Hugs' campaign, how do you feel about it? I'd like some christian opinions here please as well as others. Thanks!

It's the first thing I hear about such a thing. A little more information would be useful in taking a stance.

I had to Google it since I'd never heard of it before. My opinion is that it's just another one of those "here today gone tomorrow" attention getting stunts someone thought up. I personally don't like strangers touching me and I can get hugs from people I know anytime I want.

Apologies for not giving more info on this new thing. I assumed that if we have it here in Australia, it's everywhere.
Basically, it's just anyone standing on a street, with a sign, saying Free Hugs, offering a hug to anyone. They claim it's a way of saying you matter to them so much that they want to give you a hug. I have a weird association with free love here.

Agreed. Its a good idea and it may be cool for some people, but I have issues with people I dont know touching me. Call it a desire to preserve personal space, it just makes me nervous

I don't want strangers to touch me either if it's not necessary. I have a huge personal space actually, and I don't like it when strangers enter it. That's why I hate crowds.

I have numerous free hugs for cats, dogs and other animals though.

From what I've read about it in this thread, I don't like it.

I don't like getting touched by strangers, either.
