CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Well, he was pretty cool guy, being an Archduke and all, but then he was assassinated and that started World War I, and things got pretty nasty after that....oh, wait, you mean the BAND, Franz Ferdinand! Yeah, I like them a lot, their first record was great. I am really looking forward to their follow up, which I understand will be out soon.

i love franz ferdinand!!! "Take Me Out" is soooo idk i just love it. their other stuff is good too but that is one of my fav songs ever

I thought they were great, but once I got their cd, I found them a bit overrated.
I still like them, though. They just weren't the AWESOME band I expected them to be throughout their cd.

My uncle is from Scotland and told me about them a long time ago. Then I heard "Take Me Out" a few months later when they started getting some popularity in America and decided to pick up the record. It's alright. The initial appeal wears off over time and you are left with just another Gang of Four/Television-esque indie rock band. There are lots of bands doing similar things right now, so they really aren't all that innovative or anything, but they are a fun to listen to in moderation. I will probably get their new album when it comes out.

They're very good, better than most, but like others have said, they're not quite as good as we expected them to be given all the hype surrounding them
