Dear Friend,

Our country is in trouble like we haven’t seen in our lifetime. We have no hope, outside of God. We will not make it unless God’s people call on His Name for help.

I would like to invite you to join me, my family, and thousands of other believers in just a few short weeks for Prayer March 2020 in Washington D.C. On Saturday, Sept. 26, we will meet at noon at the Lincoln Memorial and make our way to the U.S. Capitol, praying as we go. We will stop at key locations to ask God to heal the divisions in our nation, guide our leaders, protect our religious freedoms, and pour out His Spirit on America.

Let’s come together to take a stand for Jesus Christ and show all of Washington—and the nation—that we believe in the power of prayer and need more of God in America, not less. Will you join me on Sept. 26?

While Falwell is not Graham, this latest incident might be a wake-up call for Falwell. His ministry is finished, but he could still save his soul, and possibly that of his wife.

I don't take a lot of notice of Franklin Graham. No ill will intended, but he is not his father. Billy Graham left big shoes to fill and I don't think there is anyone in the current evangelical world who can do so.

As one example of Billy Graham's influence, he came out to Australia way back in 1959 and held a number of rallies around the country. I think that in Brisbane he used what we call the RNA showgrounds as the rally point.

The following link refers to one convert, who by his own admission came from a family who had been social security dependents even back then.

On the contrary, not only did it not make my day, it just stood out as another example of the hypocrisy and tone-deafness ever-present among evangelical leaders. If Graham were concerned about divisiveness, he would stop doing and saying things that are divisive. Here's a selection from his twitter feed:

The Left has threatened to “burn it all down/burn Congress;” they’re threatening to “stack the court” so that they will have a rubber stamp for their socialist agenda. I hope Republicans & moderate Democrats in the Senate don’t balk & give in to these scare tactics.

That's one strawman and two left-demonizing socialist boogeymen - and that's just from today. Franklin Graham does and says divisive things and he also fawns over the most overtly, deliberately divisive president we've had in at least a century. If he truly wants to combat divisiveness, he should stop passing the buck to prayer and start using the skills and discernment that God's given him to examine his own life and his own contribution to the problem. But maybe he doesn't want to combat divisiveness. Maybe he's merely interested in amassing power and wealth for himself.

I know a few people who work for some of his organizations doing good work in the world and they're perpetually embarrassed by him.
