It's strange, I can only use the inverted mouse settings for FPS, including when I'm driving tanks or using fixed machine guns, yet when I was playing KOTOR recently and manning the gun turrets on the Ebon Hawk I could only shoot accurately when it was in the normal mouse setting even though it's similar to using fixed machine guns in games like Battlefield where I'm inverted. :o
I'm just wondering what percentage of gamers use inverted mouse settings specifically for first person shooters, as I think I'm the only one of my friends who uses it. I think I use inverted because I started out playing a lot of combat flight sims like X-Wing and TIE Fighter (from the mid-90s) and in flying games generally speaking when you want to go up you pull the stick back and vice versa. I was also thinking that it may be when you look up you actually move your head back, so maybe that's it ... who knows?
What do you use and why?
