MSNBC is a travesty of news. Honestly I don't know how they remain in business. CNN is fine, just boring.
Yes Jim.Sometimes I think if we had a shred of decency we'd boycott FoxNewsThe latest from our conservative news source...
I miss Britt Hume.
One problem I see with how we view the cable news stations is that we (generalization here - am referring to the viewing public) tend to confuse talk shows with the news. When Fox is reporting the news they're fine, they do a good job of straight up reporting.
But shows like the OReilly Factor, Hannity or Glen Beck aren't news shows. They're talk shows - and yes, for the most part the hosts have an agenda. Same goes for news vs talk shows on CNN or MSNBC
We've allowed the line between talk and news to be blurred to the point that all too often folks think that Sean Hannity (for example) is a news journalist. He isn't.
If you want to see a good political talk show - Fox does have one. Huckabee is excellent. He has folks from all over the political spectrum on his show and I've never seen him talk down to a guest or treat them with disrespect. Plus, he has a pretty good studio band.
that said - in regard to Fox peddling flesh, my husband and I often make jokes that Fox News must have stock in lip gloss manufacturing based on the way their female staff wear it. Sometimes I'm amazed I can see their faces at all for all the lights that reflect off their lips.
One thing I did get a kick out of when I did watch Fox News (for some weird reason) is when they spelled Osama Bin Laden's name with a 'U' -- "Usama". Now I'm a little curious as to whether there's some sort of significance to that.
Does anyone have any ideas on this?
(I hope this question isn't out of line.)
....
FOX likes to parade the honey pots on the tube. Again, it's not a huge issue and as a normal male I enjoy the view, but they could gain more respect if they showed less cleavage and thighs.
LOL! I'm really enjoying you euphemisms.
But I honestly don't like Fox (or CNN very much, but that's a separate thread). Rupert Murdoch is a Zionist and a pornographer (search for the article "Rupert Murdoch's Growing Porn Empire"). I believe in free speech, but at the same time its rediculous to think that Fox is some paragon of conservative values.

Personally, I don't care for Fox News, and the reason is that they are way too far right for my personal taste (then again, I am more moderate politically). They also get a little too giddy in their weekend shows. I mean, a little bit of goofing off is one thing, but I believe they carry it a bit too far, IMO.
