  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The DOJ hasn't gotten to Trump yet on sedition, and he's not going to be pardoning anyone.
And here's the goal of it. It is political corruption of our justice system, and other American instituions etc. Get Clarence Thomas. Threaten Kavenaugh. It is disgusting the double standards going on here.

Listing hundreds of thousands of people isn't exactly the specificity I was hoping for. In fact, it is so vague as to be useless.
Yeah because they have no accountability. they are all corrupt, because people don't care.

It was corrupt powers which charged and threatened them in the first place.

Roger Stone lied to the FBI and intimidated witnesses. He was convicted by a jury. How was it corrupt to do so?
Michael Flynn lied to the FBI and plead guilty. How was that a corrupt prosecution?
Steve Bannon defrauded Trump supporters of money to "build a border wall". He was pardoned before trial, but his codefendants were not and were found guilty. How was that corrupt?

The problem you have here is that Trump had a lot of corrupt and criminal friends and allies surrounding him. Even if you don't think Trump himself was corrupt and criminal, it is not corruption to charge, try, and convict the criminals that are around a politician for the crimes those associates commit.

How is it "one-sided" to charge those who committed crimes?

All of them?
If you get to the point where you don't trust the FBI, the CIA, the DOJ, the courts, the news that reports the details of the crimes when the crimes are committed by your favourite politicians, or wealthy elite millionaires who are allies of your favourite politician.

If you get to the point where you assume one side is guilty "Lock her up!" "Stop the steal" without any evidence and reject the findings of the courts that are not in your political favour e.g. 60 court cases lost or thrown out due to lack of evidence, or courts finding (after seeing the evidence and hearing arguments from both sides) Roger Stone, Michael Flynn, Paul Manafort and Steve Bannon, Cedrick's father, Piro's father, guilty of crimes.

If you get to that point, you are basically supporting lawlessness. You just want your favourite politicians and their elite wealthy and powerful allies to be able to do anything, including steal from their voting supporters (the plebs), instigate an insurrection, attempt to steal an election, obstruct justice, it seems even sexual assault is OK as long as it is your favourite politician.

He created a criminal and unethical, grifting swamp into government, the likes of which USA has never seen before.

The multiplicity of his and his allies alleged and convicted crimes and related investigations and charges do not suggest that the legal system is corrupt and on a witch hunt, but instead suggest that the perpetrators have no respect for the law and often cross the line.

Literally all of them. Obviously.
Yes. Just like yesterday. The FBI would not turn over the documents required for oversight. Boldly demonstrating those of our elected officials we the people put in power of such yhings, do not have any. The seperation of powers is being overturned. And people are applauding this. Our representatives in what ever branch to represent us, we the peoople are being overturned. Some of you like this and will be the cause of it. No more discussion because you really don't care. It's fake.

The "Proud boys" don't make me proud at all... Not unless they drive down to the southern border, personally, and start doing something good for the actual country - then they can call themselves Proud Boys.

Why would we want a neo-fascist militia along our southern border?

Because they're entering the US illegally at 10,000 per day.

Therefore any thug roughing up illegal immigrants is something to take pride in.
It would be nice if our military would lay hands on them. Someone needs to physically stop them.

Just make it open season on suspected illegal immigrants, I’m sure there’s enough people willing to grab them. Better yet pay out bounties for all the ones you can drag to a border patrol station. May have to suspend a lot of laws but broken eggs and all that.
