It really doesn't take long - the quote facility is quite easy to use, you just put start-quote [quote] in front of the text you're quoting, and end-quote [/quote] at the end. You can nest pairs of quote tags if you want to put a quote inside a quote.

Even in out own lifetimes we've seen unexpected changes from new uses of technology. That's what metallurgy, domestication and agriculture are, new uses of technology, but they changed everything.

The point I was trying to make is that the vast changes in human civilisation in thousands of years and in life over billions of years can both be broken down in a myriad of totally reasonable little steps with no miracles necessary to explain them.

(Before someone gets to it, for the origin of the substance of the Universe, I've got nothing. I don't find any of the options of popped out of nothing, always existed or creates itself back in time satisfactory for gods or universes. )

Quite honestly,,, I don't know if we'll ever know the answers to the big questions. Christianity leaves a lot of questions unanswered too, and if anyone says differently, they're just kidding themselves.

It's just that we're so different from all other species...

I think what people on here are saying is that we still have to figure out how or why they change with the "layer of time" in the rock. WHAT causes the different species to appear?

I see you're Jewish. I don't think we understand God as much as we'd like to think we do. We can't put God in a box and demand He stay there. Personally, I don't feel threatened by anything. We can't know everything or we'd BE God.

What causes different species to appear is exactly why the theory of evolution exists. The theory of evolution is the explanation.

Admittedly, it's a lengthy, complicated and nuanced explanation that is continuously being revised over time as new data is gathered. But it's currently the best one we have.

I'd wager if you were to take a course and post a thread on it where the material could be discussed including asking questions about it, there probably would be a lot of interest. After all there are posters here who have studied these topics at the university level (myself included) and we even have posters with professional backgrounds in the subject.

Not to mention a creationists voluntarily taking a course in evolutionary biology and posting about it would be a bit like sighting a unicorn around these parts. It just never happens.

I don't think you're being honest about your demands here and I've said so in numerous posts in the past.

If you were genuinely interested in learning about a subject, you wouldn't be here in the first place. You'd be off taking advantage of all the free information available. Yet every time that information is pointed out to you, you come up with a litany of excuses to avoid it.

Then when people get tired of responding to your crap you start grandstanding and declaring victory for yourself. As you did once again in the remainder of this post.

You're not interested in learning. You're not interested in science. You're not interested in theory of evolution.

If you want people to believe differently then demonstrate it. Actions speak louder than words.

Are you asking because you have not already read about the observation of evolution in labs? Because if you have not thouroyghly studied the subject, and aren’t aware of the evidence the “other side” is using to make their claims, how can you make a judgement that the scientists are wrong? If you haven’t evaluated the data then you are debating a subject from a place of ignorance. If you want to challenge the experts in a field, you must first become an expert yourself. I can certainly post links to back up my claim, but if you are genuinely interested in understanding and debating the subject you need to do your homework and spend quite a few hours, if not weeks, studying the large body of knowledge that makes up the theory of evolution before you dismiss it.

but i indeed studied the arguments that was made by evolutionists, so i do know what im talking about. do you have an experiment that we can see for instance a creature evolving into something else and not just variation of the same creature?

It depends what we mean by "different". Knowledge in science tends to build on knowledge that precedes it. In that respect, the future theory of evolution (whatever that may be) will be different by virtue of accumulation of new knowledge.

At this point in time, I don't think we'll get away from the idea that life shares common ancestry or that life naturally changes over time. There is just so much supporting evidence for those concepts that it take something completely radical to overturn.

I also think that eventually the origin of life and the evolution of life will be merged into a more singular comprehensive theory of life. But we're probably still awhile from that happening. There is still a lot to discover in the mean time.
