1. Is it all on my end?

2.. Does it normally take several minutes to move from one page to another within the forum,,, often with a single thread?

Often, twice in the part 30 minutes I ve had to shut down and reboot, I keep getting cant find server pages...



The temps,cookies etc are clean, the main disc is 89% open...

suggestions?

u want to post this in the Suggestions, Bugs, and Help Forum.......but I had this problem a while back and Erwin couldn't find any problems and it just all of a sudden started working again *shrugs*

Strange... why did I just get a cookie request from hpphoto when I loaded this thread??


Anyhoot, slow with just this forum? Sometimes its very slow and has been that way for the past year as I've seen. Sometimes you just need to try to reload the page you are trying to load and other time just do something else and come back. If anything it is a bandwidth issue on the server that CF runs on. There are many reasons for this and could be anyplace between the server to a backbone connection of the internet that it is connected to.

If this happens with other sites as well, it could be from your computer to your ISP up to even where they are connected to the backbone of the internet. If it's on your end then you should call your ISP and ask if they are having problems with their system someplace.

what connection speed are you running at? im pretty fast on changing pages and im on dsl.

I have Cable and everything else loaded fine, I had a problem accessing CF for about 2 weeks the time it went weird on me.....and a couple weeks ago others were having a problem getting to the site so I think there is a problem out there, but no one is sure why because I don't think it is the CF server, but there has to be a problem with another server it's going through...... *shrugs*

Thanx every body.

What we finally did was to lover the modem speed from 57K to 37K . Kinda like gearing dowm .and it has speeded things up.
