morning, all! crib, too true! sc, so glad i don't have i don't have yard work to do! please pray @ my current job - they don't want to give me time off to go bury my dad now....working on it, plus still trying to find out @ that job interview too!

What kind of business wont allow you 2days paid leave, during the death of the imediate relative?
I thought it was the law of the land.

Oh dear, that is awful. I can't imagine someone wouldn't give you the time off. Please keep us posted as we care very much about how you are. I pray you get the time off and the means to be able to go. We love you Bird, may God richly bless you through all of this.

morning all! thanks to you both! i don't reportedly qualify for the paid time off, but i did tell them that i didn't care if i didn't get paid as this was too imporant for me to miss, even i was getting paid for it. i'll keep you updated, for sure. funny thing is someone told me not to come if i could lose the job due to trying to come, but given how imporant it is for me to be there when my dad is finally buried, and given the fact they don't think much of some things they're doing that are not ethical, well, i know God will see to it i will be either given the time off or a door will open to a better job environment!

morning to all! praise indeed! still have job, yet they only want me off for 2 days for the interment.....and am still needing to see my stepdad who is just as bad off as my dad was before the end. my brother called to confirm. lovely....now get to see if i can get the time off again, but a different week? ugh! fyi: i lost out on the new job to someone else, but the guy who interviewed me said he'd keep my info on file for the "next time something comes open". hhhmmm, not sure how true that'll be? gonna keep my eyes on the One who holds me in His hands, or everything would just depress me beyond measure.

It's a beautiful week out this week, we went from a snow storm right into summer weather, have had shorts on the last couple of days.its a nice change from winter.
Maybe the Lord has a better plan for you then that job you didn't get Bird. Praying for you
