Actually, I think the new rewording helps quite a bit, as well as the movement of the support forums. Thank you Erwin... We'll give it a test run and see how it works.

I feel very strongly about the image we project to newcomers. As far as i am concerned this whole site is losing its most valuable asset if non Christians reach the front page and decide they are not welcome and navigate away.

so let's tuck the christian aspects away, and hope they don't notice for a while? the purpose of cf is to unite all christians as one body. i've read the banner. i expect it, and would be actually put off by a plethora of non-christian forums.

I hardly think that contracting the 'Christians Only' menu is likely to 'tuck the Christian aspects away' There is a banner at the top of the page that is fairly explicit. I just think that regardless of what CFs purpose is supposed to be, we need to remember what Christs purpose for us is.

Another brain storm

How about adding some text to Christian olnly forums bar like

"Open forums for all below"

or "To see open forums collapse here --->" *pointing to little minus sign

Whilst not wanting to tread on anyone's first amendment rights or anything, I have to say after reading this thread that it just proves "you can't please all the people .... "

BTW I like it, I like change and I frequently jiggle the contents of my websites around. Keeps them 'alive' and stops them getting staid and boring. (IMHO, of course!!!!!!!!)
