Since the forum upgraded and changed, I notice (I'm a numbers kinda guy) that the users on-line #s are running about 60% of what they use to.

Interesting.

I've noticed that too. I think it is because of all the arguing and bickering that is allowed here. I see this rule being broken all the time.

2) Respect Each Other

(Respect each other's background, regardless of whether the person is a christian, a catholic, or a non-believer. Do not attack a person whose views differ from yours. Use evidences to support your viewpoint.)

The arguing and bickering is part of Gods purifying fire. We will all eventually overcome it when the sinful nature of the flesh is no more.

The 2.5 years I have been a member on this site the online number has been around 2000 people. It has only been the last few months the number of online people have been around 3000 people. If the falling back of people online is a coincidence with the change of CF or have something to do with the change of CF will just be a guess. I haven't decided yet, though.

if the name change is the problem then those who left lack understanding.

if it was change to allah forum or krishna forum they might have a argument for leaving.

Ive only been here a few months but it seems to me the subjects and discussion are the same.

Jesus and is Word and questions that pertain.

The understanding that they lack is not knowing those who call on the name of Jesus is not assured eternal life or salvation or redeemption.

Mk 13:6 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

saying Lord, Lord

Mt 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23: And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

24: Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

sounds and acts like a christian to me.

The old timers will stay and God bless them

the New blood will come and try to give there opinion God bless

the different faiths will come and give reason not to believe in Jesus, God bless them

the different christains faith will come and learn where there denomination ERROR. God bless them

they all will learn from the one's who have come out of her Catholics and Protestant doctrines and read for themselves.

whosever will let them come.

As a newbie to these forums, I have to say that there is just way too much extra stuff loading besides the actual discussion. I didn't see it before, but maybe by changing, they shut out anyone with dial-up...who knows.

Also, the written word is only one part of human to human relationship so a forum will always be limited in that aspect.

One other thing, the acceptance of all doctrinal forms may cause confusion for some....especially young believers who are trying to find truth. Bottom line is that not all doctrines discussed on here are correct. Not saying that is bad...just a fact.

Finally, not everyone wants to engage in constant debate. Some people just want to receive help, encourage and build each other up.

THe vote was almost half and half about whether to change it or not. SO when the other side lost, i guess many either left and joined another site, or are boycotting.

This is true, but I think others will join because
they will enjoy how the forum now functions.
I think in the long run, the numbers will even out.

I like these boards. I let all my Christian contacts know about them. I think there are so many people out there who would like it hear IF anybody told them about it. We should all be promoting anything that promotes God! I think this site does... tho sometimes it takes the long way home.

As for "bickering and arguing"(not debating or discussing)... these is NOT a Christian attributes. If we really follow Jesus, we can indeed be civil, informed and LOVING!

Rev J

I've noticed that as well, it's sad, as the changes have worked out quite well
Considering youre liberal, yes they have worked out quite well. But this site was already heading in that direction long before these changes came.

Alot of Christians had already left or were ready to leave after 7/7/7. I don't see that opening up a Christian forum to people who randomly reject the Bible's truth is a good step for any site calling itself Christian, so just because it stays open doesn't mean it's doing a whole lot of good for God.
How many are being misled in the process, only God knows.

I have dial up at home and can't really post any replies to any discussions there. I am always getting logged out anytime I go from one page to the next. I can read threads, but can't really post anything. It's annoying.

I've been having the same problem and I'm not on dial up. It happens in some threads and I end up not posting anything. I think there are some glitches here.
