• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I used to call myself a Christian, though I always had difficulty believing. In fact, I've read the book once before, years ago. I'd like to give it another read now that the internet has become what it is. What I'm hoping to do is write down the parts I have a problem with as I read, and post them here. Would anyone be willing to help me better understand the parts I struggle to understand and/or believe?

Subscribing because I would LOVE to engage this pursuit. I have never read the book, Lee Strobel, right? I have avoided his work due to the mixed reviews it gets, and have kept my Biblical Faith pure and undiluted from ... anything I can possibly construe as "leaven." This type of format suits me.

Do us all a favor and tend to your profile, so you don't make the screen so wide with every post? Thanks and God Bless

I'm sorry. Could you please explain what I need to do to my profile to make the text fit better?

Well I'm no computer scientist, but the line of text right under your username (FROG) reads like this on my screen:

<[wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth] src="[wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth]://[wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth]3.christianforums.[wash my mouth][wash my mouth][wash my mouth]/im

I'm rather certain you didn't enter that manually ^_^ I have no idea how it got there, nor do I know how it looks on your screen. I will say there is a certain MS Word document I have occaission to copy paste here sometimes, and our censor function inserts the [wash my mouth] into the Prophet Isaiah

I have discussed this with mods, and they don't get that this is a site malfunction. Hopefully you can figure out how to correct this instance, and the page will return to a manageable width. Thanks.

Btw, welcome (back) to CF! We still aren't perfect, but there are some wonderful people here, from every walk of life, and every corner of the globe.
