The use of civilian establishments by the military is prohibited by Geneva laws. However, there have been instances where hospitals, schools, and other civilian sites in Gaza have been used for military purposes. Hamas endangers children in Gaza, not IDF.
The IDF targets children. They are responsible for that.
It is deeply concerning that children in Gaza are enduring hardships.
Starvation, mutilation, death - yes, deeply concerning.
The situation requires a deeper examination of the underlying factors. One significant factor is that the Palestinian people elected Hamas as their representative. Hamas has been neglecting its citizens, violating international laws, and engaging in activities that have contributed to ongoing suffering of Palestinian people.
What was that, like thirty, forty years ago? The children must pay for that!
Rocket fire from civilian sites such as schools or hospitals poses a significant challenge for the IDF. When rockets are fired from these locations, they are considered military bases rather than civilian establishments.
Same as ambulances and aid workers - everyone must pay.
Hamas is responsible for the suffering of it’s own people, not Israel.
The old "Look what you made me do!"

They bear a great deal of responsibility for the war and the suffering, but Israel is the one committing the genocide.

What does free Palestine means ?

I'm not going to argue, I'll simply post this in response.

I’m burdened to post something real about the dangerous ideology behind “from the river to the sea, Palestine be free” and “globalize the intifada.”

These chants, heard on college campuses, are not cries for justice but calls for Jewish genocide and Islamic extremist dominance, rooted in puritanical Islamic terror.

Scripture warns us to test spirits (1 John 4:1), and these slogans fail the test, aligning with evil (Ephesians 6:12). Let’s examine the language, culture, and intent, praying for truth

Genocidal Intent of “From the River to the Sea”:

The Arabic slogan, “Min al-nahr ila al-bahr, Filastin sa-takun hurrah” (“From the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, Palestine will be free”), is a Hamas rallying cry for Israel’s destruction.

Hamas’s 2017 charter demands “full liberation of Palestine, from the river to the sea,” rejecting Jewish existence. Some variants, like “Filastin sa-takun Islamiyah” (“Palestine will be Muslim”), make sure to exclude Jews entirely.

Hamas’s use implies a “free Palestine” without Jews, colored by the October 7, 2023, attack killing more than 1,200 Israelis. This isn’t liberation but a call to annihilate Jews, as even NPR has reportex, citing Jewish fears of genocide.

Scripture condemns such hatred (Psalm 11:5, “The Lord hates the bloodthirsty”).

Intifada’s Violent Culture:

“Intifada” (Arabic: “uprising”) refers to Palestinian campaigns of violence, like the Second Intifada (2000–2005), with suicide bombings killing over 1,000 Israelis.

A puritanical Islamic ideology fuels groups like Hamas, demanding jihad (struggle, often violent) to impose Sharia. Hamas’s “violently exclusivist” use of “from the river to the sea is "rooted in Islamic puritanical religious ideals.

The Guardian once reported Hamas’s intifada calls as “at worst for genocide,” driving Jews out. This culture of death contradicts Christ’s peace.

“Globalize the Intifada”: Colonizing the West

“Globalize the intifada” extends this violence worldwide, aiming to impose Islamic extremism. The Washington Post cites fears of this as a call for “annihilation of Jews” globally, amplified post-October 7.

Islamist groups like Hamas seek to ultimately dismantle Western systems, viewing them as “infidel” (kafir). Arabic term “hurrah” (freedom) in the slogan masks a supremacist vision, excluding non-Muslims. This colonizing intent threatens Western nations.

College Takeovers: Hamas’s Manipulation:

College students chanting these slogans are misled, thinking they support justice, they ignore Hamas’s genocidal intent based on religious and racist ideals of Arab superiority.

Hamas’s influence in protests, with campus takeovers (e.g., 2024 Columbia University) intentionally disrupted peace efforts like Saudi Arabia’s joining the Abraham Accords and beginning to normalize relations with Israel.Hamas coordinated with U.S. student groups, which leaves IVY League colleges aiding terrorists and interrupting international peace efforts which are in our national interest and the interest of good sense.

God’s sovereignty calls us to repentance.

This post is not polished, but I believe it contains the relevant information. Hope maybe it helps someone.

Yes. Many people who call themselves Muslim, are not followers of Muhammad or Islam. The same can be said for many Christians.

You don't understand, this is the "real Islam", all moderate Muslima do is provide cover for the extremists and sit back as people die and do nothig.

They are as much the danger as the extremists because the extremists hide among them and use them to gain ground they should have never been given in the first place. Like access to brainwashing kids at colleges and universities across the country.

This is how Iran was taken down by the Ayatollah, the mixing of Marxism and Islamic extremism and using the college kids to help take the government down.

They have American kids now.

Hamas uses children and families as human shields and converts hospitals and schools into military bases. According to Geneva law, when a military action originates from these sites, they are considered military establishments rather than civilian ones.

Over the past 20 years, the world has sent between 1 to 1.5 billion US dollars annually to Gaza. Hamas used this money for personal luxuries and military equipment. Hamas leaders purchased mansions in Paris and luxury apartments in London, and invested in rockets, while neglecting their citizens and leaving them in poverty. You are right, the starvation in Gaza is horrible because their elected official would rather buy rockets then food.

Yes. Palestinians hate Israel more than they love their children. At this point, it is safe to say that Israel cares more about the people of Gaza than the Palestinians do.

The people of Gaza are Palestians themselves.

Yes, your post is very informative, but it doesn't explain why you want to turn it into a religious war.

I didn't turn it into anything. I simply stated what it is in point of fact.

In point of fact it is not a religious war, or at least it didn't start out as one. And it is Christians for the most part who want to make it into one. Why?

How do Arab Muslims perceive this conflict? Do they view it as a secular war?

It is not a religious war. But a war against a radical ideology. No different from the war on ISIS.

They did at the beginning. Initially it was seen just as it is--they consider themselves the indigenous inhabitants of the former Ottoman Palestine (along with the Jews and Christians who lived there with them prior to 1917). When the French and the British carved up the Ottoman Empire, other indigenous groups got something like self-determination and nationhood, although they all had to fight for it. The Palestinians got a western-style secular republic populated with European immigrants dumped on them instead.

I really think this is spiritual. Its more than politics or religion or human rights. The behaviour is irrational so we know its emotionally triggered. But I think its also spiritually triggered.

Its always the Jews whenever theres a conflict in the world that involved them or anything that is connected to them. Even if the other side is clearly being barbaric its still the Jews who are blamed.

The level of emotion, hate, vile, violence is well beyond rational.

But I also think this has been cultivated by politicians, ideologues and activists over the years who have indoctrinated young people into this oppressor and victim mentality. Or remained quiet and did not condemn such hateful ideology when it was exposed. Even siding supporting extremist who promote hate over the Jews.

Of course when it comes to oppressors its always the Jews. But then this is done through the prism of hate for the west as well. They are all oppressors. But the Jews for some reason are singled out for the most hatred.

The ironic thing is the Jews are probably one of the most oppressed people in the history of humankind. Yet they pull themselves up and start again and keep going. Yet no one has ever said what about the Jews oppression over millenia.

I guess part of the hate is envy that such an oppressed people can still get on with life and make good rather than complain its not fair.

I don't think anyone here is blaming Jews, they are critical of Israelis. But there are also people here who insist that those two things must be the same, but can't say why.

It is not a religious war. But a war against a radical ideology. No different from the war on ISIS.

It's a Holy War in Islam. The Hamas Covenant of 1988

“The land of Palestine is an Islamic Waqf [Holy Possession] consecrated for future Moslem generations until Judgment Day. No one can renounce it or any part, or abandon it or any part of it... The Palestinian problem is a religious problem, and should be dealt with on this basis. Palestine contains Islamic holy sites. In it there is al-Aqsa Mosque which is bound to the great Mosque in Mecca in an inseparable bond” (Articles 11, 16).

This explicitly frames the conflict as religious, with Al-Aqsa’s sanctity making Palestine an inalienable Muslim endowment (waqf), obligating jihad - violent jihad.

Well, if you want to make a religious war out of it, then it looks like the Palestinians have as good a reason as the Israelis.

If you didn't know - this is the culture I came out of. It's religious, as religious as it gets. When I say it's my culture my ex husband was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood, I do understand what is happening here

Let's join with those who value life, deal with the death cult the way the death cult needs dealr with and do life for a while.

Please. Let's live and have a future and a hope. People don't know what they are doing right now.

Sure, it is a religious war for radical Islamists, but that doesn't mean we have to make it religious. Bomb them back to Allah and let's live and have a hopeful future.

Sure, it is a religious war for radical Islamists, but that doesn't mean we have to make it religious.

When WE ignore the context we are facing we do not deal with the issue correctly, because we are busy ignoring said issue.

The issue is HAMAS will never stop. To stop them, you have to set them in chains or kill them but no worries, they are happy to die - it's their greatest hope.

Until you deal with that, the matter of the mosque and managing it's control by the Arabs while allowing the Jews to live in peace and safety and working towards helping the Arabs who would enjoy a future for themselves and their children that doesn't involve generational war.

The most detrimental thing is being born, living and dying generation after another inside a state of war.

We can't do anything until we deal with Hamas.

With good leadership we can do this right and I actually think Trump has a chance. A REAL chance! But not if we ignore the real problem.
