Let me start by saying that I am sincerely sorry for offending posters on this board. I have no personal gripes with any of you, and humbly ask the forgiveness of all of those I may have offended.
This morning, upon reading that a fellow CF member reported me to a mod, it suddenly clicked. At that moment, I realized that what I previously interpreted as playful exchanges in the vein of iron sharpening iron were, in fact, much uglier than that. This came as a bit of a shock to me. You see, I have a couple of old friends with whom I like to argue, and it does get nasty from time to time. We take different points of view and pit them against each other. Sometimes well even argue about things for the sake of arguing, often defend obscure positions, and just have at it. But even when were playing the devils advocate, and things get heated, were still good friends. Pretty soon were laughing about other things, and each of us very much share a live and let live outlook on life. However, It is wrong of me to behave in a similar manner online. The internet virtually begs for flame wars, and when somebody takes a position that seems to be prodding others to debate, Im often tempted to jump in (and it doesnt always matter which side I take!). But this is no excuse. Its easy to forget that there are people on the other end of the conversation who Ive never really met, and I shouldnt assume youre all in this for fun and games.
Most of the time, with other friends, at church or at work etc., I dont even engage in that sort of thing. I try to be the kind of person wholl help you carry that extra stack of files to the copy room, or be there for you when you need someone to listen etc. In fact, Id much rather be a peacemaker.
Im sorry for my behavior here, and Ill leave it at that. I hope you can find it in your hearts to forgive me. You do not need to apologize for anything you have said. Im not pinning the blame on anybody else. This was my mistake. As I mentioned earlier, I have no gripes with anybody here. Youre my brothers and sisters in Christ, and it is laid heavily on my heart for me to clear the air, and let you know that I wish you nothing but the best.
Peace and blessings,
