There is a striking parallel between the wickedness of the time of Ezekiel and the end time falling away. Ezek. 22:26 says that her priests have violated the law, have put no difference between the holy and the profane and closed their eyes to My Sabbaths.

The prophets had used untempered mortar (vs 28) which could not repair the breach made in the wall of God’s law (vs 30) and so they would be destroyed by fire (vs 31).

Without law, the people descend into all kinds of sin and iniquity as will happen at the end of time when the man of lawlessness will deceive many and be removed at the coming of Christ (2 Thess. 2:3-12)
