Jude 1:12-13 (NET) These men are dangerous reefs at your love feasts, feasting without reverence, feeding only themselves. They are waterless clouds, carried along by the winds; autumn trees without fruit twice dead, uprooted; 13 wild sea waves, spewing out the foam of their shame; wayward stars for whom the utter depths of eternal darkness have been reserved.
Read again for yourself the description of the false teachers. It is not my purpose here to go through each analogy of what it means in Scripture. However, today we will focus on the phrase utter depths of eternal darkness have been reserved.
You know, I booked a hotel room for this coming weekend for a business trip. It cost hard-earned money. The false prophets reward and income is a reservation in literal and conscious hell. This is in step with the eternal fire of 1:7. It could be said that darkness designates the place of torment, while fire describes its nature. This is everlasting destruction is from the presence of the Lord forever.
Dr. R.C. Sproul notes six keys to understand about the reality of hell:
1. The suffering of hell is beyond any experience of misery found in this world.
2. Hell is clearly included in the teaching of Jesus.
3. If the biblical descriptions of hell are symbols, then the reality will be worse than the symbols.
4. Hell is the presence of God in His wrath and judgment.
5. There is no cruelty in hell. Hell will be a place of perfect justice.
6. Hell is eternal. There is no escape through either repentance or annihilation.

Do you need more motivation to share your faith? Do you need more honest truth to talk to those in non-biblical groups about true salvation as defined in the Bible alone (Mormons, Jehovahs Witnesses, etc.)?
Faith Lesson: If you cant conceive of an eternity in unending blackness for those without Christ, then you have not begun to understand the Gospel.
