I see.The same way people make every idol: they place it before God in order of importance in their lives.
And anybody who ignores what God's word says about the sin of having homosexual sex and goes through the lengths that yall have in this forum to ignore, rewrite and undo what the words on the pages of God's word say, do so because it is more important to you that folks have homosexual sex without being told that it is a sin, than it is for you to be aligned with what God's word says.
PURE, 100% IDOLATRY.
How would you propose I have done that?
Thank you for the explaination.
No, I let my studies slip as a kid and never finished Hebrew school.Do you speak and understand Hebrew fluently?
Don't remember. This has no bearing on the inerrancy of the Bible. Once again, overarching themes vs. minute details. I could have read the Gospel of Thomas and found out a lot about Jesus. So who explained to you who Jesus is? Who explained it to them?
The only idolatry I see is the consistent worshipping of the Protestant Bible on these forums. A far greater sin than disagreeing with your comprehension of the Bible. The same way people make every idol: they place it before God in order of importance in their lives.

Yall might as well build a golden statue of two men having sex and start worshipping it because that is essentially what is being pushed by many in this forum.
I don't particularly think people are making homosexual sex into an idol in this thread. However, it seems many have more faith in Kinsey than they do the word of God here. I find it kind of sad.
(I have a good link on the myths of the supposed revisions of the KJV; will post when I can.)
However, what I get from some on this board is more faith in Kinsey than the Bible.
Why is Kinsey worth so much faith?

What do you mean, what is my reference? I don't trust the English Bible for anything but the overarching themes, like salvation, Jesus' ministry, etc. Homosexuality is not an overarching or pertinent theme in the magnitude of the Bible.
The Apostles were held to a very high standard. We are not the Apostles. Paul said it is better to marry than burn.
As a concession yes Paul said that, but he said let each man have his own wife and each woman her own husband. Paul was speaking to the pagan's who had differing sexual lifestyles than that which was acceptable to following Christ.
Marriage has stood for 2,000 years as man and woman. What changes now?
That is perhaps a touch simplistic. There are many significant differences between marriage as understood in the West today and as understood by Christ's contemporaries.Marriage has stood for 2,000 years as man and woman. What changes now?

Marriage has never been consistent. In the ancient days, marriage was between brothers and sisters, or a man and many wives. Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines, and the only disapproval God had of that situation was the some of Solomon's wives were foreigners. God himself gave David another man's wives, and offered him even more.
Marriage also used to be between 2 white people, or 2 black people, never 1 white 1 black. That is until us liberals pointed out the error of that "marriage" and got the courts to remove the ban on mixed race marriages.
Marriage changes as society changes. Always has, always will. One Christian denomination does not hold claim to the institution of marriage.
That is perhaps a touch simplistic.
learn the difference between PROscriptive and DEscriptive. And notice that nowhere in there, as crazy as some of that might seem to man, God NEVER in His word examples marriage as being between two people of the same sex,
Never actually mentions such a coupling at all.but rather, ALWAYS affirms such a coupling as sinful.
I didn't say anything about what anything says. I was pointing out that the nature of marriage is not and never has been, static.Yes simple and to the point is too easy for those who want to breed confusion and rewrite God's word to accommodate their sin.
The more complicated they can make it, the better they feel about justifying their sin.
The goal of many in this forum is the same as the devil in the garden: to confuse by calling what God says into question.
Too simple, indeed. The gig is up. If you're gonna try to convince somebody, at least try a less popular tactic than the devil's "does it really say that"?
Then perhaps this forum isnt for you.The only idolatry I see is the consistent worshipping of the Protestant Bible on these forums.
We can see what the Bible says, you are only kidding yourself.A far greater sin than disagreeing with your comprehension of the Bible.

Exactly.Learn the difference between "Thus sayeth the Lord" and "what homosexuals and their sympathizers want the word to say".

Or do you believe your wife is chatel?
