Yes, this will be offensives to some humans, but so is talking about gay rights, trans people things, and how Star Wars is not better than Star Trek. So be warned.

I have been biting my tongue but after hearing a news report, I need to ask this among Christians.
Why, ho why, are people forced to learn to speak Spanish, have to read Spanish on food boxes, milk, store signs, garbage labels, etc?? Why can these nonEnglish speaking people learn English?
I am constantly exposed to people hired for jobs without speaking English where everyone else does and you can not communicate to them because they not learned it.
I am exposed to people who go for driving tests, without speaking or reading English. I am not going to drive where STOP signs are two languages.
So, why can they just not learn what the majority of this country knows: English.
I do not care about politics or that crap.
There are people that agree with me that there is a Mexican Occupation of this country for decades.
Why do you think people have to learn this Spanish speaking method, especially in emergencies, when these people should be learning English?
Now, before you call me some bigot, racist creature, know this: I have Mexican friends who actually agree with me on a lot of this. I am also not someone who "hates" other skins, but my tolerance level for certain things, like stereotypes, has low limits these days.
So, just want your take on the issue with the language in America.

NAFTA
one big trading block Canada/US/Mexico
One big highway from north to south
all on low pay
The wall rhetoric is only to build a groundswell of support for not having a wall at all but opening the border completely.
Didn't we just scrap NAFTA?

What are you referring to in relation to being forced to learn Spanish?

What are you referring to in relation to being forced to learn Spanish?

Look all around you.
People now have to learn it for their trades, when it is not really needed. It is only needed because of the nonEnglish speakings ones already in the buildings, etc.
There is nothing I need to refer to when all around you see those words on everything when you walk out your door.
I heard on the radio today how some people were let go from their jobs because they did not know how to speak Spanish, so they wanted bilingual humans instead. WOWOWWOWOW.......That is how this country is playing? This is not the first time I heard of such cases, or even witnessed myself when even in my building they took one department and let go the only English speaking people there who. They left the nonEnglish ones who did not understand anything to rest of us were asking them to do, so corporate had to "hire" someone to speak their tongue, instead of, well I do not know, keeping the English speaking ones from being let go? No, it was not a performance thing either. Trust me.
I have seen this getting worse since the late 90s. I am frankly tired of it.

Learning Spanish is not that bad. ;)

Neither is English.
If you are going to enter a country, learn its primary speaking methods and have respect and speak that way and not force other people to have to try and understand you or spend time reading toy boxes or diapers to skip all the non-English paragraphs to get to the English one. Speaking of that, I have a bag of food someone gave me. There is English and Spanish on it for something which is event... potato chips. Is it really necessary to slap this one everything, including toilet paper??? Is it really worth the money for this extra print? ATMs are asking me if I want English or Spanish, when it should ONLY be English. I should not have to place a call, to be forced to listen to an entire announcement in Spanish WITHOUT the option to skip. Just wasting more of my time and money.

Neither is English
Actually, because of its differing roots, English is the most difficult language of the major tongues to learn.

ATMs are asking me if I want English or Spanish, when it should ONLY be English.
I remember George Carlin talking about immigration. He said that everyone should be allowed to come to the US as long as they learned the native language: Navaho.
