I know that right now you think its funny to laugh at me and my brothers when we come against homosexuality, abortion, and all manner of filth that this country is mired in. I understand that you think its funny and all that... However, if you understand the passages above; then you will understand that one day there will be no more laughing.

One day in the near future, the HEATHEN WILL BE FORCED TO OBEY!!! When Messiah begins His reign on this earth, there will be no more mocking/laughing at Him and His Word. There will be only FORCED OBEDIENCE to His authority. Justice will be swift and instantaneous. And this will be a glorious thing!!!

I do not reject Christian doctrine out of spite or an evil intent. I am not convinced it is correct. I am convinced that it is incorrect.

Can you convince me? Can you use the power of your God to CONVINCE me... instead of forcing me with iron rods?

I doubt it. I doubt the ability of people to convince by argument who have to rely (gleefully) on open threats to further their position.

Show me wrong. Show me the love of your God and convince me, instead of threatening and verbally beating me.

My honest request extends to you as well. What you state here might or might not be correct. I, personally, do not think it is correct.

I'm simply telling you that the same God who offers His love and mercy...the same God who gave His only Begotten Son so that whosoever believeth should not perish but have everlasting life...is the same God who allows you to reject Him and for you to spend an eternity in Hell separated from Him all because YOU CHOOSE to do so.

So in that regard, it is a love me or else. You can either accept His love for you and His sacrifice for you and be heir to all His riches and glory and declare Him as Lord and savior now, or you can reject Him and have no choice about bowing and declaring Him as Lord of All later before you are ushered into an eternity of burning torment.

The same applies with Jesus Christ. Me convincing you that He is Who HE says He is will not save you. The devil himself KNOWS that Jesus Christ is God but it means nothing.

You have to have faith and experience Him for yourself in order for you to be convinced.

I and every other Christian lacks the ability to convince you. People are drawn unto Jesus Christ because He draws them unto Himself.

And unless you want to know Him and have shown some interest in having a relationship with Him, there is no need for Him to attempt to draw you near Him.

He knows every heart and will hear the cry of those who genuinely want to know Him and His truth.

What you describe is not a loving God at all, but a jealous God. A God that wants everyones affection and love, and will cut down anyone that does otherwise (much like a popular high school teenager).

This does raise the question, if God is so jealous are you sure your worshiping him/her in the right way? Do you need to follow both the OT and the NT? Or are they out dated by the Koran? Willing to risk his wrath over that?

Having just finished Revelation for class, I can say that either John was wrong about a lot of it, the Apocalypse already happened, or he was talking about events going on then and just trying to say that Christians who died for their faith would be rewarded for it with that future prediction stuff.

John says, right in there, that Christian persecution will go on for three and a half years, then Jesus would reign with the martyrs for a thousand years, then they would throw Satan into the lake of fire and God would create a new Heaven and a new Earth. The very latest that John could have written Revelation is 350 CE or so (though it was more likely written around 115 CE or maybe a bit earlier), which would mean that the persecution would have ended, at latest, in 354 CE, the reign of Jesus would have lasted until 1354 CE and we would now be on the New Earth.

So, either Revelation is wrong about these predictions, or John actually was just talking to Christians being persecuted by Romans, as so many Biblical Historians believe. And, no matter which option one chooses (either the Bible is not literally true, this has already happened, or this is symbolic), it makes no sense to use this to threaten non-Christians since it obviously doesn't apply.

Of course there is some cynicism in your question as well as some genuine wanting to know. Bit know that God is God and if He can make the lame to walk and the blind to see, don't anticipate any problems with Him getting those with no eyes to see Him and those with no legs to bow before Him.

God is a HOLY God. And a Holy God canot be in the presence of your sin. That's why NO ONE can come to the Father but by the holy, righteousnss of the Son of God washing them clean in His blood.

Umm yes. The Bible says in Exodus 34:14
Do not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.

God loves you, His creation, so much that it indeed makes Him jealous with a Holy jealousnes that you would reject Him in favor of anything else.

He loves you so much that He gave His only begotten Son as a sin offering so that you, me, and any other of His creation could be in His Holy presence for all eternity in spite of our sin-filled lives.

Yes, He wants the love and affection of all of His creation. But if His creation does not want to give that, because He is HOLY, that sin cannot be in His presence.

When God first made man, man was without sin and a Holy God walked in the garden with man. But once sin entered the equation, there was separation between man and God.

Through the death, burial, and resurrectionof His Son, He has made the way for man to be able to be in His presence once again.

This does raise the question, if God is so jealous are you sure your worshiping him/her in the right way? Do you need to follow both the OT and the NT? Or are they out dated by the Koran? Willing to risk his wrath over that?

It only raise that question if you don't know Him. There is no conflict between the Old and New Testaments. the New Covenant completes the Old.

Look at it this way: imagine that I am honestly seeking - not Jesus, but the truth. If that truth happened to BE Jesus, I would possible "change the condition of [my] heart."
But as long as I am not convinced, there is no chance to so.
