Antigone. I KNOW it depresses me, but it's so poetic and beautiful... but HORRIDLY depressing. Whoever wrote it was influenced by Shakespeare; all of Shakespeare's tragedies ended with everyone dead, and that's pretty much how this book goes too. ....sniffle... poor Antigone... poor Haemon!

*laughs* neither do I! But then, it wouldn't be a tragedy ;) I wonder if anybody does enjoy tragedys. I'm scarred for life just after reading Hamlet! :D (everyone could've stayed alive if Hamlet wasn't such an idiot, like the king... who put poison in a random cup!)

I hope I don't have nightmares. *gets tissues* even though they were going to starve her to death, she hung herself before they could do it... :(

That's depressing...

I think I've never read Hamlet, or maybe I did a long time ago and I don't remember :D
TELL me about it. Hamlet thought it was his enemy eavesdropping in a bush nearby, so he stabs the bush and it turns out to be his girlfriend person's father. So, she(the girlfriend person) kills herself because her father's now dead, the queen drinks the king's poisoned cup on accident(kinda... he told her the cup was poisoned and she was like, too bad, I'm drinking out of it!), Hamlet blamed the king his mother's sudden death and stabbed HIM to death, and of hearing of his girlfriend person's death, he kills himself. The only person left is this page person, who shrugs and leaves the room and that's the end.

NARR! *laughs while crying* I'm actually quite proud that I've read and understood Hamlet, Elizabethan was almost another language to me a few years ago...

I do, there was another quote I liked better but... snarf. That one works out pretty well too :D

Yes, comedies are better! :D I don't like tragedies because they are so depressing...

By the way, when was Antigone written? I thought it's old, but in your quote there's a sentence about a film without a soundtrack...
