All Scripture that is given by inspiration of God….that is, God-breathed…is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.
There is a difference between God-breathed Scripture…the Word of God preached in the Spirit of Truth…and the preaching of the “word of man” whose private interpretation of the Scriptures is in error and leads many astray.
2Ti 3:16-17 KJV

The “unlearned and unstable” wrest the Scriptures unto their own mortal destruction as they have no understanding of them. Their preaching is in error and leads many of their listeners down the broad way to their mortal destruction. They do not understand the gospel of the glory of God that we are supposed to shine (in the face of Jesus Christ) to the people of the outside world. No mortal flesh is being currently saved in the man-based churches.
Their preaching of the Scriptures (the “word of men”) is not God-breathed….not preached by His Spirit of Truth.
2Pe 3:16-18 KJV
(16) As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
(17) Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.
(18) But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
The unlearned and unstable do not have the mind of Christ. They are not holding the Head of Christ…His heavenly knowledge of the Scriptures. They are fleshly, earthly-minded.
Desiring to be teachers of the Law, they intrude into the Scriptures (where they thought they “saw” something) and have incorporated some of the outward ceremonial keeping of the things of the Law into their own church handwritings of ordinances/dogmas.
These handwritings are the “other gods”…that is, other judges…that we are not to have placed inside our places of worship of God.
We have only One God…One Judge. Our God is One…our Judge is One Judge….and not the many church handwritings (other gods) that are being used to judge others with in the divisions/domination of man-based churches.
Do not let a man judge you via his church handwriting of ordinances that contain some of the outward ceremonial commands of the Law.
Col 2:16-20 KJV
(16) Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
(17) Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
Let no man beguile you of your reward (an age-lasting…”eternal”… life) in a voluntary humility and worshipping (literally: ceremonial worship) of THE “angels”….the messengers.
These “messengers” being talked about is probably Moses and the prophets. I am only speculating here…or they could be the church scribes (the messengers of Satan.)
We are not to take the outward ceremonial laws of the Scriptures and make them mandatory to keep via the church handwritings of ordinances. Those that do, do not even keep the whole Law.
(18) Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
(19) And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.
Why do we willingly go to a “church” and subject ourselves into keeping and serving their handwriting of ordinances?
We have God’s commandments written upon our hearts and minds. Why go and keep the externally-written commandments of men that are empty to serve? This is the “iniquity”.
(20) Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
The Law is good if a man uses it lawfully….for reproof and correction of those who are going to a man-based church (the “fornication”….”whoremongers”) where they are keeping and serving self-governing and self-judging lawless church documents (the abomination of desolation).
The man-based churches will not believe what they will hear. They will not receive the gospel of the glory of our blessed God. They will show themselves “lawless and disobedient” in their unbelief of it.

(8) But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully;
(9) Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
(10) For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
(11) According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
The mystery of THE (definite article) iniquity (the handwriting of ordinances) is already at work in the man-based churches. It brings them to desolation under the wrath of God....and yet the man-based churches are unaware that they are currently under His judgment for the iniquity found where it should not be found.
2Th 2:7
(7) For the mystery of (THE) iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
Who must be taken out of the way? The righteous who will believe in the Word of Truth when they will hear it.
God will not destroy the righteous with the wicked…those who will be unbelieving and disobedient unto the hearing of the Word of Truth. The righteous…like righteous Lot (“Lot” means “veil” or “covering”) must be taken out of the way.
The righteous must be taken out of the man-based churches in order to reveal the left over unbelievers in the man-based churches: the wicked. The veil must be removed (the righteous taken out of the way) in order for them to be revealed.
Some of the righteous will “linger” about in the man-based churches….like Lot who did “linger” in Sodom. Genesis 19:16 . God in His mercy will remove them in due time.

(8) And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
The church documents are graven images that are rigid (molten images) as they do not change.
They are firmly established in the man-based churches.
Yet, they are an abomination unto the LORD. They are the work of the hands of the craftsman….the church scribe.
The mystery of THE iniquity. They are put in a “secret place” as many are not aware that these things (church handwritings of ordinances) are the “idols”…the images….the abomination of desolation…that we are to not have in our places of worship. They are not being identified with “idols”…images. They are in plain sight of everyone….but no one considers them as such.

(15) Cursed be the man that maketh any graven or molten image, an abomination unto the LORD, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and putteth it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, Amen.
There is no “peace” in the man-based churches that are serving the iniquity. Instead of peace, we find division among ourselves and the famine of hearing the true and sincere Word of God. We find death.
We must not make any “graven image”….a church handwriting of ordinances/dogmas.
These graven images are the documents of the church as written by the church scribes: their “statements of faith,” creeds, church constitutions, by-laws, statutes, etc.

(4) Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
They are “images”…in the likeness of things in Heaven above.
Moses made all things according to the pattern showed him in the mount. These things (the tabernacle and the ceremonially-kept outward laws) were only PATTERNS of the things above in Heaven.
When we incorporate some of the outward ceremonial laws of Moses into a handwriting to keep and serve, we are then making a “graven image” in the likeness of things in Heaven above.

(5) Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.

The outward ceremonial things of the Law have a shadow of good things to come and are not the reality of them.

(1) For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
The church handwritings of ordinances/dogmas are in the likeness things below Heaven in the earth.
Have you ever saw a church constitution? They are in the very likeness of the governing constitutions of the nations of the outside world….even being codified like them (Article I, Article II, etc) We are commanded not to follow the way of the nations in this very thing.

(15) And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom the LORD had charged them, that they should not do like them.
(16) And they left all the commandments of the LORD their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal.
