For MEN considering DIVORCE

I do not believe this statistic would be so high if there was not some financial incentive, or at least was comfortable, for women to divorce.

Bingo! We have a winner. No doubt women have a financial incentive in most cases. All I know is if you go to the bookstores you will find books about divorce preparation written by a woman for women to read, it is to coach them how to set their husbands up. These books coach a wife on how to attack their husbands self esteem, provoke them into verbal confrontations, not to work for a couple years prior to filing, after provoking a husband they teach how to have hidden tape recorders around so they can rush to the phone and call the police and make their he is abusive claim, and why!!!!!!

All these books are basically teaching women is how to get a big payday by geting a divorce. You don't believe me go to the bookstores you will find them and be shocked as to what other teachings are in these books.

When a man writes a book for a man it is just basically telling a man when the above behavoir starts, protect your assets. I'm not insinuating that 100% of women do this, but as to why the divorce rate has skyrocketed in the last 30 years, no doubt the liberal courts and judges who now occupy the seats behind the bench do not render fair decisions, liberals always are for the underdogs or in the case of dividing marital property they side with a woman.

I read your post, and understand there are some women who are doing it tough. I guess you tend to evaluate the big picture based on your own. I think the stats, at least in Australia, are showing a bias in the system. That confirms a number of the stories I've heard, and my own situation.

What can society do? At the end of the day, it gets back to the heart of man and woman. The biggest incentive to remain married through tough times can be our devotion to Christ and desire to honour Him, even though that may mean personal hardship and loss. Jesus said that those who die to themselves will find life. It is hard sometimes to live in the light of that promise when things are black. That is the meaning of faith.

You know ... I just did a google search and just found NUMEROUS books for father's in 'Divorce Wars' and many more.

You and I can dance this dance all day ... you from your bittered POV and me from mine.

FACT IS ... both sides ... BOTH SIDES will screw the other from time to time IF the individuals involved, whether male or female, HAVE NO MORAL or CONSCIOUS concerns for the other and the mental well being for their children.

There are many websites for both genders that teach what you ONLY gave an example of for women. Men have them, too. Many.

Again ... it's the heart and soul of the person involved. Man or Woman! My husband wasn't God based and if you ask me ... THAT IS THE #1 PROBLEM in our societies today, whether in the USA, Australia or anywhere else. I don't like how pop-culture makes it seem so common place to leave God out of everything ... making out-of-wedlock pregnancies seem hip or fashionable when they were once taboo. I don't like that swearing, especially using our Lord's name in vain is acceptable in movies. I don't like that pornography is becoming more and more acceptable as a past time to the younger crowds in media avenues whether TV shows or radio talk shows making it sound like it's hip or cool to partake. If you ask me ... Satan is having a field day out there and destroy many Christian unions HOWEVER and WHERE EVER he can slime his way into the basic fabric of our family, personal, and religious frame works.

You can sit here and make it Men vs Women ... I see it as Us vs Satan!

Enough of this thread for me. I'll leave you to your own bitter pov ... I'm trying to tame my own and this thread isn't doing me any good at the moment.

Hi.

We all know that in Divorce Courts, MEN tend to lose. They lose money, property and often their children. I dont find this fair at all. The justice system is totally biased and screwed up. I think all judges and prosecutors are spineless. Especially when it comes to gender issues. They fear feminist backlash. I.....don't. Not at all. It can be fought...and won.

thats not always true when my wife wanted a disoulution..she just wanted to be single..she didnt want anything from me..but be single (she beleives she was never to be married, and was called to be single)...I actually came out of our marrige better off..though she never had any money to begin with and couldnt work(emotional problems)..when we were married we lived rent free at her mothers..

I offered her to take what she wanted and leave me with what she believed was fair... no kids so mine is obviously simplifed off the bat. She cleared our account for all but 300.00 then spent 120.00 on her new hair cut... she was kind enough to use her visa/debit for that... So I came away with 180.00 bucks... and she took everything out of our home she could pile in her friends truck... I got three couches out of the deal. As hard as it seemed it was going to be finacially everything worked out, I believe because trusted it would... My boss opened his home to me I saved up got my own place and thing just went up hill from there.
Just another thought to throw in the mix.
