Are you talking about the movie Stripes? Watched it once, didn't care much for it... especially the prolonged ending. Although from what I've heard it's considered a classic, but like many comedies it probably just hasn't aged well.

Half hour in already. On true real station.
I think you are thinking about Stripes.

Yeah, it is up there like The Blues Brothers.

Yes the movie was Stripes and for the record I'm Gen-X, born 2 years after the boom.

I did see it when it came out, at a Drive in if I recall when I was a little under aged for the R rating but with some high school friends of my middle brother (who was at the near the end of the Boomer generation, born in 64, while I think 1965 is the cutoff for the Boom).

You must get quite a few movies channels
research "Host of Heaven". There may be a realization that means "everything else" other than the celestial bodies mentioned.

I love that movie. I believe it was written by some of the Monty Python guys. Or at least some of them is in it.. but the film is really funny, so it probably was written by them. Been meaning to rewatch that one.

Stripes is the movie. One of it’s script writers is Harold Ramis who also was one of the script writers for Ghostbusters and acted in both movies.

I believe Ghostbusters is still considered funny and I believe Stripes is still good for some laughs but probably less so than Ghostbusters.
