I can't eat like that as it gives me terrible IBS, acid reflux, etc.. I can only eat beans in moderation, and bread and onions are something I strictly avoid. Which makes eating alot more costly.

I used to be a vegetarian at one time in my life but now days that would be an impossibility, I'm afraid.

I try to cook from scratch. I think folks tend to assume that eating out or that eating pre-cooked stuff is cheap; it's not.

Whatever is the cheapest. I get it from Bodybuilding.com (although I'm not a bodybuilder). They have good prices and a large variety.

Whey (protein) shakes are just powdered whey mixed with milk, water, or included in a smoothie or other health drink.
